Top 5 Women's Royal Rumble surprise entries

So m
So many surprises!

The Royal Rumble match is one of the most, if not the most exciting match of the year, and one of the reasons why is that you never know who is going to show up. The 2018 Royal Rumble played that card perhaps better than any other Rumble pay-per-view in history as there were more than a dozen surprises. WWE has been pretty relaxed for surprise Rumble entries in recent years, having had no legends appear since 2015 and just about one NXT star in each of the 2016 and 2017.

That is until the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble matches, and I do mean matches as both the men's and women's matches had a pretty fair share of surprise entries that no one saw coming. First, let's take a look at the top 5 surprise entries in the women's Royal Rumble.

#5 Vickie Guerrero

Excuse her!

Without a doubt, one of the most entertaining surprise Royal Rumble entries in history came from one of the best non-wrestlers in WWE history. Former RAW and Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guerrero made her surprise entrance at number #16, with her trademark 'Excuse Me' catchphrase and shouted it repeatedly at Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Ruby Riott and fellow surprise entry Michelle McCool, before all four women would eliminate her.

Vickie is currently retired from full-time appearances in WWE and works in medical administration, but appearances like this remind us just how great of a TV character she was.

#4 Michelle McCool

Flawless performance

Former WWE Diva's and Women's Champion Michelle McCool entered the Royal Rumble match at number #14. The wife of The Undertaker had not wrestled for WWE since retiring in 2011.

Michelle gave what was likely the most dominating performance in the history of legends Rumble cameos as she eliminated 5 other women. Michelle lasted about 10 minutes before being eliminated by Natalya.

Michelle's performance was... Flawless!

#3 Molly Holly

Pure

Wrestling for the first time in a WWE ring in almost 13 years to the exact date, former 2 times WWE Women's Champion Molly Holly entered the Royal Rumble match at number #12 and lasted almost 10 minutes before being eliminated by fellow surprise entrant Michelle McCool.

Molly is a true pioneer for the women of today is wrestling as she never previously participated in any of the old WWE Diva sexually orientated 'pudding matches' or lingerie pillow fights or bikini contests, Molly was a straight up women's wrestler.

#2 Trish Stratus

Simply the best

Still, the best WWE women's wrestler ever in the opinion of many, the 7 times WWE Women's Champion entered the WWE Royal Rumble as the first ever women's Rumble 30th entrant.

Trish made 3 eliminations and kicked a lot of asses, all while the crowd went crazy. She also took in a crowd-pleasing moment with a stare down with former rival Mickie James, which elected a huge pop from the Philly fans, before being eliminated by Sasha Banks.

As the fans chanted, she's still got it.

#1 Lita

Still
Still got it

My number #1 has to go to the first surprise of the match, the 5th entrant, WWE Hall of Famer and 4 time Women's Champion, Lita.

Lita was absent from the 25 Anniversary episode of RAW last Monday, which peeved many fans, but no need to worry, this not just made up for it but was far better than being introduced to wave on the stage.

Lita came out to a massive pop and a round of ''You Still Got It!'' chants while she executed a perfect Lita DDT, Twist of Faith and a Moonsault. She lasted just about 10 minutes and made 2 eliminations before being thrown over the top by Becky Lynch.

It is easy for Lita too still have it when she never lost it.
