Fans were left shocked, with some even apologetic towards Triple H after R-Truth made a surprise return at Money in the Bank 2025.

Less than a week before the PLE, the comedic star had announced on social media that he was being let go by WWE. The news of his departure rattled the WWE Universe, and HHH said during the post-show press conference that it was all a work and part of the plan. While R-Truth’s return is still being heavily debated, the 'wannabe' former member of The Judgment Day could have a new opponent in the form of Logan Paul.

At Money in the Bank, Truth appeared out of nowhere and attacked John Cena to help Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso win their Tag Team Match. The Maverick was also in the bout alongside Cena, but was knocked out during the surprise attack. The former United States Champion wanted to win this match with The G.O.A.T. to help establish himself as a serious threat. However, with Truth ruining his plan, Triple H could now put the two in a feud against each other.

Despite being a great in-ring performer, the social media megastar has not had a long-term feud for a while, but that could change soon. Even at 53 years old, Truth has displayed insane agility in the ring, which would pair well with Paul’s wrestling style. Fans would not mind this feud as it would give the veteran something to do following his return.

It is worth noting that, for now, the above angle is just speculation as nothing has officially been confirmed yet.

Did Triple H get rid of R-Truth, or was it really a work?

Since his return at Money in the Bank, fans have questioned whether Truth's exit was a work or not. Despite the veteran claiming that he was let go by WWE, Triple H said it was all a work. However, wrestling veteran Hugo Savinovich claimed something different during an interview with Lucha Libre Online.

Savinovich said that Triple H wanted to get rid of R-Truth, and it was WWE President Nick Khan who overruled him. Moreover, he added that no one believed Hunter about it all being a work, and that even children could figure it out. Even the superstar's son posted about the issue on social media, and there is a possibility that the CCO wasn't being entirely honest.

This has caused a storm of fans debating whether it was a work or WWE pivoted due to the backlash they received after R-Truth’s social media post.
