WWE’s much-anticipated Money in the Bank Premium Live Event ended with one of the biggest twists that no one saw coming. While the show was your standard WWE PLE, there were some great moments throughout the show.
As fans await the upcoming WWE RAW after Money in the Bank that will kick off the Men’s and Women’s King of the Ring tournament matches and an advertised return of a legend, here are the best and worst matches from the just-concluded PLE.
#3 - Worst - The Women’s Money in the Bank match was a downgrade
Despite having some of the biggest names, including Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer, taking part in the match, it did not quite meet expectations. While all the female stars performed well, showing off their moves that got the fans to pop, it was nowhere as brutal as 2024’s Women’s Money in the Bank match. Not only were the spots bigger, but the bumps felt more brutal last year.
This match was also plagued with several moments where it felt like the talent were waiting for their cue to make a move. Parts of the bout felt too choreographed and unnatural for a high-octane ladder match. However, Naomi winning the briefcase was a great booking decision since she’s been cooking with her heel turn.
#3 - Best - The Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match was perfect
While LA Knight fans were left disappointed as The Megastar failed to win his third Money in the Bank match, this was one of the best matches of the show. Every contestant got their chance to shine, and there were some incredible spots in the match. Seth Rollins, Andrade, El Grande Americano, Penta, Solo Sikoa, and Knight all took some impressive bumps during the bout.
Americano’s jump from the ringpost to the ladder and Penta’s Destroyer on a ladder made the crowd pop instantly. Even the storytelling outside the match, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed coming out to help Rollins, while Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo came out to aid Sikoa, added another level of excitement. The best moment was when Fatu turned on Sikoa, which cost him the chance to win. With The Visionary winning the briefcase, WWE could be planning something big.
#2 - Worst - John Cena and Logan Paul vs. Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes was saved by Truth
Lately, fans have come to expect a main event match with John Cena that is slow, boring, predictable, and dragged on, and last night was no different. The match started slowly and continued that way until the end, when momentum picked up. This match featured the current Undisputed WWE Champion, the World Heavyweight Champion, and the face of the company, but the best part was Logan Paul.

Paul’s Moonsault to the announce table on Uso was a thing of beauty, and his use of his drone while taking a bump from Rhodes was great. However, the moment that made the Intuit Dome explode with excitement was R-Truth taking out Cena despite claiming to have been released by the WWE only a week ago.
#2 - Worst - Dominik Mysterio vs. Octagon Jr. made no sense
This match was a last-minute addition to the PLE. At WWE x AAA's Worlds Collide event, which took place ahead of the PLE, Dominik Mysterio challenged Octagon Jr. for his title. With zero buildup, this match lasted under five minutes. While both men did put on a great show in the time possible, with Mysterio showcasing why he is one of the best heels in the business, it added nothing to the show.

The former AAA World Trios Champion showed off his impressive skills in the ring against the WWE Intercontinental Champion. However, unlike NXT Battleground, where Trick Williams beat Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship, Mysterio retained his title. This match seemed rather pointless on this card.
#1 - Best - Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch went above and beyond at WWE Money in the Bank
This feud stemmed from Becky Lynch turning on Lyra Valkyria on the RAW after WrestleMania 41 when they lost their tag team titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This was unexpected, but it has turned into one of the best feuds since 'Mania. This match had everything that two stars who hate each other should have. The manner in which the two brawled and the impact of the moves looked brutal.
The tension and animosity were palpable throughout the match. This added a level of intensity that drew the audience in. From a technical wrestling standpoint, the match never let its momentum slow down.
While Lynch’s heel work was strong, Valkyria would not go down easily. Apart from the countout segment of the match that felt abrupt, the overall match was the best bout of the night. With The Man winning the title, this feud will continue, which is great. Both women have fantastic chemistry, and it is putting Valkyria over with the WWE Universe.
WWE made several mistakes with Money in the Bank?
