WWE Night of Champions is on the horizon, and the fans have been looking forward to the action set to unfold at the premium live event. As of now, WWE has confirmed only one match for the show, which will feature John Cena's last trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a wrestler. He will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship at the event.
Cena is set to be challenged by the Best in the World, CM Punk, in a bout dubbed as ‘One Final match’ between the two legends. CM Punk confronted Cena on RAW this week, which led to the match being made official, but also called out The Rock and took a shot at him.
The Best in the World has done this multiple times in the past, and now might be the time The Rock intervenes. The Final Boss could give orders to Triple H to suspend the Voice of the Voiceless after a massive return, which would lead to Punk getting written off TV.

This would lead to Triple H canceling the singles battle between CM Punk and John Cena, which would keep Punk off the flight to Saudi Arabia. Further, Cena could issue an open challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship to fulfill his promise of making his final appearance as a wrestler in Saudi Arabia.
While Punk vs. Cena might not happen at Night of Champions, WWE would surely want the two to compete against each other one final time. The company could postpone plans for the match and feature it on a bigger stage like SummerSlam. A match like this would be a massive attraction for any event and could end up being the night when Punk fulfills his dream of holding the World title once again.
The Rock commented on his dynamic with former WWE Champion recently
There is undoubtedly a lot of history between the Final Boss and the Best in the World, and a potential match between them would be a treat to watch sometime in the future. There were speculations earlier that The Rock hated the Voice of the Voiceless, which has been an assumption for quite some time now.
However, the Brahma Bull cleared the assumption with a comment on Instagram, stating that he and Punk were now good buddies and that all he cared about were things that were best for business.
"First of all, Punk and I have become good buddies over the years. We're solid. Secondly, whatever match making scenario is best for true long term (not short term) business success- that will be our Mania main event," The Final Boss commented.
While Punk and The Rock might have no heat between them, a potential match in the future will undoubtedly be a major attraction. Time will tell what WWE has in store for both men in the future.
