Triple H's 5 greatest WrestleMania entrances

HHH
Triple H just loves to be the centre of attention

A grand entrance at WrestleMania is a big deal, and as such it's usually only reserved for a select few Superstars every year. Unfortunately, it seems as if Triple H has taken up the majority of the funds for such occasions in recent years, with The Game receiving over-the-top entrances at pretty much every WrestleMania since transitioning into a part-time competitor.

Some will say it's not fair on younger talent, meanwhile, others will choose to enjoy the spectacle for what it is: just completely ridiculous. Some of his entrances have been better than others, but in reality, you can't really go wrong with a character like Triple H's.

Whether it be imitating a famous movie character or just looking like a bad ass, HHH fans are always likely to enjoy themselves.

Since missing out on WrestleMania 23 through injury, the former World Champion has appeared in nine consecutive ‘Manias, which is staggering when you consider that he's well past his prime. In that sense, we should probably be appreciating these entrances whilst we can still get them, and because of that it's time to look at the positive side of things.

With that in mind, let's take a look at Triple H's five greatest WrestleMania entrances.

#5 WrestleMania 17

HHH vs. Taker was a great first instalment of their Mania series

It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from - Motorhead playing you down to the ring is a pretty cool moment. So naturally, we had to include such a thing on this list despite Lemmy missing out half the words to Triple H's entrance music.

It really didn't matter in the grand scheme of the moment because the adrenaline was pumping, the crowd was electric and the whole thing was just great to see.

It built Triple H up as this no-nonsense bad guy who would do anything in order to continue his rise to the top, which included defeating The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all. He may have ultimately failed, but everything about this entrance felt extremely real and gave Triple H that sense of invincibility that he always seems to crave oh so badly.

Onto an entrant that fits the "over the top" moniker slightly better.

The barbarian look was an interesting one for HHH

Whether you had Triple H pegged as a barbarian or not, this made the whole idea seem pretty cool. Whilst donning some unique attire and sitting upon his throne, HHH's entrance in Chicago at WrestleMania 22 had to be seen to be believed. The whole thing was a mixture of bizarre and outstanding, with pretty much every fan inside the arena pulling for The Game to defeat John Cena.

It's times like these that HHH seems more cyborg than man because his stone cold expression when coming to the ring never fails to send chills down the spine of fans all around the world. You may hate the guy, but you can't deny that on this night he managed to grab the attention of the entire WWE Universe. That's something, right?

We move nine years into the future where the "cyborg" term took on a whole new meaning.

So.. he's the Terminator? Cool

WrestleMania 31 was an event that wasn't supposed to succeed but did in spite of its build. One of the main attractions on the card was Triple H vs. Sting, in what appeared to be the odd final chapter in the WWE vs. WCW saga. Yup - they were still going on about it nearly 15 years later. Some people just can't let things die, it seems.

But anyway, onto the entrance. Everything about this was absolutely mad, from the dozen robots on stage to Triple H coming out holding six silver skulls. Hell, there was even a cameo from Arnold Schwarzenegger. This Terminator-themed entrance looked a tad odd in the light of day to some, but in a lot of ways, it made things all the more intimidating.

Seeing HHH lock eyes with Sting was a cool moment, and it certainly made the headlines. We go back a few years now to one of the most hated ‘Manias of all time.

#2 WrestleMania 27

WM27 is an underrated classic when it comes to entrances

WrestleMania 27 may not have been considered a very good one, but that doesn't mean that Triple H wasn't able to pull off yet another bad ass entrance. The King of Kings looked like an absolute psychopath in this one, with flashing lights appearing on and off before he appeared with about 20 gladiators who were holding shields up in front of him.

It was new and it was different, giving the Game’s character a whole new feel, after nearly a year away from the squared circle. It certainly felt like the biggest match on the card and this intro in particular made Triple H feel like a destroyer, which is more than can be said for quite a few of The Undertaker's streak victims.

He may have failed once again, but the evolution of his character was an interesting story for them to tell. We conclude with the one that sums him up more than any other entrance possibly could.

HHH’s entrance in New Orleans was just perfect

Triple H, the heel boss, books himself in the first match of the night in New Orleans so that he has the maximum time available to recover before the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. His arrogant wife announces his introduction before the camera pans to the King, sitting on his throne surrounded by three beautiful women - Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss.

The Game rises out of his chair as the women assist in removing his attire before the man himself removes his helmet to unveil his stern yet sinister deadpan look. The dramatic music transitions into his usual theme song, before he enters the ring looking like the most self-centered bad ass in the history of the WWE.

This is hands down his best entrance ever, and it worked to perfection.
