This week of WWE SmackDown Live was broadcast from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The show kicked off with Becky Lynch arriving in her car backstage. The crowd chanted for Becky, and she was stopped by Kayla Braxton who asked if she's ready for Asuka in the ring.
Becky then ran into Heavy Machinery and the New Day backstage. Heavy Machinery put pancakes & whole eggs in a mixer, and they drank it while the New Day looked on disgusted. Becky took a sip as well.
Becky then made her way to the ring and talked about her Royal Rumble opponent, Asuka. Asuka then came out and mocked Becky Lynch. The IIconics interrupted them, and claimed they would win the Royal Rumble and the women's tag titles. Becky then challenged them to a match.
Becky Lynch faced Peyton Royce and defeated her comfortably after locking a disarmer. Asuka then took the mic and challenged Billie Kay to a match. Asuka faced Kay and defeated her quickly with the Asuka Lock.
Next on SmackDown Live, AJ Styles showed up, but Daniel Bryan attacked him from the crowd. They brawled for a bit, and Bryan was sent through a table, and security stepped in.
Mustafa Ali came out next to face Samoa Joe, but Samoa Joe attacked him before the match even started. Samoa Joe continued attacking Ali and flung him at the turnbuckles before walking out. Ali was not in a condition to compete, and the match was called off. Joe returned once more and sent Ali into the barricades.
Next on SmackDown Live, Andrade went one on one against Rey Mysterio. In a classic match between the two incredible athletes, Andrade defeated Mysterio with the help of a distraction caused by Zelina Vega.
Jimmy Uso then appeared on the screen, entering Mandy Rose's hotel room. Mandy finally revealed to Jimmy that the real target was not him, but his wife Naomi. Jimmy smiled and walked out of the hotel room, sending Naomi in. Naomi attacked Mandy Rose, taking her down on the hotel room floor, before Rose ran away screaming.
Miz came out next to celebrate his tag team partner, Shane McMahon's birthday. The Miz introduced Shane and gave him his birthday gift, before showing him a video package of his career. The Bar came out to interrupt them, mocking them. Shane then made a match between Miz and any one member of The Bar.
In the main event of this week's SmackDown Live, Miz faced Sheamus and defeated him via a roll-up. Sheamus attacked Miz after the match, and Shane came to the rescue. Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale, and they set Sheamus up for the Coast to Coast in the corner which Shane pulled off with the remaining cake in front of Sheamus' face.
The two finally raised the Best in the World trophy over their heads, and celebrated as the show came to an end.
