With WrestleMania approaching, some members of the WWE Universe may be missing their favourite Superstars.

Over 2018, the injury bug bit WWE hard, with many Superstars being forced to take time off, for a multitude of reasons.

As we've entered a new year, all these stars will no doubt be hoping to get back in the squared circle as soon as possible, in order to entertain their fans and win championship gold.

And though for some members of Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live, a return is very near, for others Superstars of the main roster, coming back is still a long, long way off.

Here's an update for every current injured Superstar from both Monday Night RAW, and SmackDown Live.

Monday Night RAW

#1 Roman Reigns

The Big Dog's future as a WWE Superstar sadly remains in question following his leukaemia diagnosis last year. Whilst the former Universal Champion has been spotted on social media since going on hiatus in October, no return date has been set, if Reigns is ever able to return to wrestling at all.

#2 Braun Strowman

Whilst he may be appearing on Monday Night RAW, there is a certain chink in the armour of the Monster Among Men. Still recovering from elbow surgery, Strowman's in-ring time has been kept to a minimum, with the Greatest Royal Rumble winner being pulled from his Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble. However, the reported plan was always to build Strowman up and replace him with Balor. Whilst Braun Strowman could be cleared by the Rumble pay per view, it's not known if he'll compete in the 30-man match.

#3 Triple H

Suffering a tear in his pectoral at Crown Jewel has thrown all future plans out of the window for Triple H. Whilst still on-screen regularly following the shake-up that occurred late last year, it is unknown when the Game will compete next. A rumoured WrestleMania match against Batista (which was hinted at on SmackDown 1,000) is now unlikely.

#4 Alexa Bliss

After suffering a concussion that has kept her away from in-ring action in October last year, the WWE has aimed to keep Alexa Bliss firmly in the minds of fans. A leader of the RAW Women's Division, Bliss has recently begun her 'A Moment of Bliss' talk-show, though has said she is working towards getting back to wrestling.

#5 Jason Jordan

A former RAW, SmackDown Live, and NXT Tag Champion, Jason Jordan's career has seemingly ended after an injury caused him to miss the entirety of 2018, with the former Superstar having transitioned to a backstage role.

#6 Fandango

Suffering a torn labrum last July has kept the dancing Superstar off-screen, though it looks like Fandango may be back sooner rather than later. The NXT Season 4 winner has been spotted at the Performance Center recently, though he is not yet cleared to return.

#7 Sami Zayn

Zayn and Owens both suffered injuries last year, but are expected to get big pushes when they return.

The Underdog from the Underground is still out of action after having double shoulder surgery last June. Being seen at the Performance Center, the WWE is hoping Zayn makes his return soon, and have been posting vignettes showcasing the former NXT Champion, perhaps in preparation for the Royal Rumble.

#8 Kevin Owens

The former NXT Champion Kevin Owens is expected back sooner than later, after having double knee surgery in October last year. The self-proclaimed Prizefighter has also lost a considerable amount of weight during his time away from the ring.

#9 Goldust

The Bizarre One will remain out of action for the foreseeable future after having double knee surgery last July but has said when he comes back, it will be to wind down his in-ring career.

SmackDown Live

#10 Erick Rowan

One half of the Bludgeon Brothers, Erick Rowan gained major respect from fans after wrestling with a torn bicep in August last year, where he and partner Luke Harper lost the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Rowan has been cleared by medical staff and is now waiting on WWE to bring him back.

#11 Luke Harper

Not long after his partner went down with an injury, Luke Harper shared a similar fate, suffering an injury in his wrist in October that required surgery. Much like his partner though, the former Intercontinental Champion has also been cleared by WWE, something that should strike fear in the hearts of all tag-teams.

#12 Tye Dillinger:

The Perfect 10 hasn't quite been living up to the moniker, after suffering a hand injury last October. He began rehabbing it in December, though a return date for the former NXT Superstar hasn't been given. Whilst he may not be busy in the ring at the moment, Dillinger has certainly kept himself busy on social media, teasing a possible release from the company.

#13 Sin Cara

A former NXT Tag Team Champion, Sin Cara hasn't been seen by the WWE Universe in months, after having surgery on August 14, for his knee. He is reportedly expected back in early 2019 and has also been cleared to wrestle once again by the WWE, meaning he may be making his return at the Royal Rumble, in the men's 30-man Royal Rumble match.
