It was reported earlier that ECW Legend Sandman told Jordynne Grace, Tessa Blanchard, Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary that "women main eventing was wrong." It was said Tessa Blanchard had stood up to him. Now, footage has been released of Tessa Blanchard cutting a promo on Sandman at WrestleCade.

Tessa Blanchard got on the mic and went to town on Sandman. She essentially said that it's almost 2020 and that the women in the ring were some of the best in the business. She said, (H/T Uproxx)

"I was in the back earlier tonight, and I had to listen to an old ECW guy that used to have a beer in his hand talk about how women shouldn’t be main eventing this event or any event. And then that led to him saying that it’s not because he didn’t have faith in these women, but he didn’t have faith in you fans. Now I don’t know about you guys, but it’s 2020 and I think that’s a crock of horse s**t."
"Because the women in this ring right now are some of the best women’s wrestlers — no, they’re some of the best wrestlers — in this business! Look around! You’re looking at some of the women who have traveled the world and gone to different countries and held notable titles in notable companies all over the entire world. Now I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of anybody better to main event."
