Triple H hasn't been afraid to put personal issues aside to seal the returns of several former WWE Superstars. CM Punk made a blockbuster return last November after a nearly 10-year hiatus from the company. The Game may be about to bring back another huge talent.

Goldberg hasn't appeared in the Stamford-based promotion in over two years. The former two-time WWE Universal Champion has fueled talk of a return by hailing Chief Content Officer Triple H.

"I haven’t talked to Triple H in a long time. You know, it was extremely rocky in the beginning (their relationship) but I think we’re at a good place man. I have nothing but respect for him, man. He’s turned an interesting situation into a very successful situation and very profitable and I’m proud of it man, good job." [H/T - Insight with Chris Van Vliet].

Goldberg, 57, joined WWE in 2003, and there was reportedly an immediate rift between him and Triple H backstage. They had heat because of comments made by the latter regarding an infamous WCW segment where the WWE Hall of Famer destroyed a limousine window with his hands.

HHH had allegedly commented on the incident and questioned Goldberg's absence during WCW's demise. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion was infuriated and said he 'wanted to rip his face off.'

The iconic pair were embroiled in one of the most controversial rivalries of the Ruthless Aggression Era. The King of Kings win against Goldberg in the elimination chamber at SummerSlam 2003 didn't sit well with some fans. The WCW legend was being booked similar to his unbeaten WCW run until that loss. The pair exchanged victories in other matches over the years for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Goldberg to have his retirement match in Triple H's WWE?

Triple H permanently took over creative from Vince McMahon at the end of 2023, and this has led to major success for the company. Business has been thriving, and the CCO hasn't been afraid to make some bold calls regarding storylines.

Goldberg's potential return could be risky, given that WWE's new era has focused more on developing younger talent. There has also been more effort to put over such stars rather than rely on high-profile names to go over.

However, The Rock's recent return proves that a veteran star can shine in the new era. HHH could be enticed to use Goldberg to put over a young talent such as Bron Breakker, 26, who is edging towards the Intercontinental Championship.
