#1 WWE Champion Big E wants to wrestle Goldberg
This is the biggest WWE dream match Goldberg has waiting for him right now, as Big E has continually mentioned that he wants to face the Hall of Famer. With the New Day member reigning as WWE Champion, this match needs to happen in 2022.
Big E has spoken about how he prefers "big meaty men slapping meat" over five-star matches, which completely fits the potential contest with Goldberg. It would be as physical as any match involving either star, filled with spears, Jackhammers, and Big Endings galore.
While it would be a great main event for Super ShowDown next year, there is enough of a story for Big E vs. Goldberg to happen at WrestleMania 38. That is if the WCW icon puts his career on the line.
Seeing Goldberg definitively retire at the hands of a WWE Superstar who idolized him would be a poetic ending to his career. A win like this can solidify Big E's world title reign and establish him as a permanent main-eventer.
