If they lost to The Deleters of Worlds at Extreme Rules, the B-team would have faded into anonymity rather quickly as a fluke team up. The whole momentum of the B-team was that they were a ragtag duo of misfits who were never supposed to win but did against all odds.

If their winning streak had broken and they failed to win the big one, their legitimacy as genuine contenders would have been destroyed and they would've been sidetracked to a comedic act once more till they completely fizzled out. Winning the titles gives new life to this team up and has ensured that the B-Team could be around for a few more months at least if they are booked right.
