WWE Survivor Series weekend might be over, but it left quite the impression on the WWE Universe. NXT had an incredible showing over the weekend, and the Superstars of the Black and Gold brand were the ones who left Survivor Series as the victors after winning 4 of the 7 Brand War matches.

What happened at the WWE Survivor Series weekend?

With NXT putting on the show that they did, several Superstars attracted a lot of praise. Adam Cole had a great two night with the WarGames match as well as the title match against former WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne.

Rhea Ripley was another name from NXT who had quite the showing. She not only overcame 4-on-2 odds in the WarGames match to pin the NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, but she also went on to lead the NXT Women's Team to another big win at WWE Survivor Series.

With all of that in mind, however, it was another Superstar who really shone and used the weekend as a launch-pad for his Superstar-dom — Keith Lee.

Why has the Survivor Series weekend helped Keith Lee the most?

Keith Lee was featured in a big way on WWE SmackDown before Survivor Series, NXT TakeOver: WarGames, as well as the actual Survivor Series pay-per-view.

At SmackDown, he was one of the last guys standing in the main event brawl that took place.

At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, while the spot with Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole stole the show, and Kevin Owens appearing was the most talked about part of the match, it was Keith Lee who showcased his abilities in the ring for all to see.

He absolutely demolished The Undisputed Era in more than one segment and was astonishingly fast and athletic despite his incredible size.

Finally, at WWE Survivor Series, he was the last man standing for Team NXT at the Men's Traditional Elimination Match. He went toe-to-toe with Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman, etching his name in as a true big man on the current WWE roster.

Roman Reigns faced him and was almost beaten by the power that Lee was able to display. Following the match, Reigns even singled out Lee to praise him and say that he was the one that The Big Dog was looking forward to facing in the ring again.

Do the backstage WWE authorities have something planned for Keith Lee?

Keith Lee's abilities have not gone unnoticed backstage in WWE.

According to a source who talked to WrestlingNews.co, it appears that Lee is well-loved backstage, and is one of those Superstars who are going to be the focus of a proper push following Survivor Series. They even said that Lee has exactly what Vince McMahon is looking for.

"I would put one of the main belts on him. If they don’t want to beat Bray then put him in there with Brock. I think people can believe Keith can beat Brock. He has what Vince is looking for. I would maybe give him a manager and give him a long run as champion. He works as hard or harder than anyone and never b***hes or complains about anything. I’m so happy for him.”

With that in mind, the future of Keith Lee is something to look forward to.
