Rusev attacks Ryback before his match against Seth Rollins on Smackdown

As seen on Smackdown last night, Ryback was assaulted by Rusev before he could compete in his match against Seth Rollins. The Big Guy was attacked from behind by the Bulgarian Brute as he kicked Ryback twice, sending him off the stage.

In the Smackdown fallout video backstage, Rusev’s associate Lana addressed his motives behind the surprising attack. Lana told Byron Saxton, ”He interrupted us last night and no one stands in the way of Rusev. Ryback was a small example to show that to everyone.”.

Rusev was asked why would he attack a big man like Ryback to which he smirked and replied, “No man is big in the accolade”. He pushed the mic and moved on.
