Opinion: Why the Undertaker will be at WrestleMania 34

World Wrestling Federation's Wrestler Undertaker Poses June 2000 In Los Angeles Ca

Will The Undertaker be at WrestleMania? Will The Undertaker wrestle again? These are two questions which have been asked during the past few weeks by the entire WWE Universe as we get closer and closer to WrestleMania 34. We have not heard from The Undertaker at all during the past few weeks, with John Cena's challenge for a match being unanswered.

There is enough support to suggest that Taker will be at WrestleMania 34. In this article I will take a look at what I feel will happen on The Grandest Stage of Them All and why The Undertaker will definitely make an appearance.

John Cena is not participating in any other matches

There is really no need for John Cena to have struggled to find an opponent for WrestleMania 34. Even Kurt Angle has a match at the event, so the WWE definitely could have added Cena to the match card in some way.

Cena has indicated that he will be going to WrestleMania 34 as a fan if there is no other way in which he can get a match at the event. This means that Cena will definitely be at the event but he will not be competing against anyone. This would make him available for an impromptu match at the event - something which the WWE might be planning on doing.

Cena's availability is enough to consider the possibility that the WWE do have some plans for him at the event. Kurt Angle could have easily made him Braun Strowman's tag-team partner which would have ensured that Cena did have a match at WrestleMania. The fact that he is available does suggest that the WWE have planned to use him in some other way.

Possible fresh gimmick

There has been a lot of speculation that the Undertaker will return as the 'American Badass' at the event and this is something which the WWE may actually be planning given the fact that Kid Rock will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

The reason that the WWE might have kept The Undertaker off television might be to heighten the impact of this return. It wouldn't feel quite the same if he appeared on WWE Raw with a new gimmick just to answer Cena's challenge.

A likely outcome will be that Kid Rock would perform The Deadman's theme live at the event with The Undertaker making his way to the ring on his bike as we saw him do during the Attitude Era. This would create a far bigger impact as opposed to having The Phenom return on Raw or SmackDown Live.

Conclusion

While the WWE may not have made the match official, I think that it is highly likely that the Undertaker and John Cena will indeed clash at WrestleMania 34. We could see one out of two outcomes unfolding.

Firstly, John Cena and The Undertaker have a verbal confrontation which would set up a match between the two in future. Secondly, John Cena and The Undertaker have a confrontation which culminates in a match at the event.

One thing is for certain, the Deadman will rise again.
