Tessa Blanchard may have defended the WOW World Championship last week, but when it comes to the controversy surrounding her reign, it's far from over. Havok, The Beast, and Jungle Grrrl all have legitimate gripes with the third-generation star, and may very well walk away with the belt if they can ever get their hands on her.
This week's episode of WOW kicked off with Tessa Blanchard, the WOW World Champion. After a successful title defense against Serpentine on the previous episode, the Undeniable One wanted to set the record straight about how things have gone down lately. Considering the way she won the title, many feel that she's undeserving to represent the company as its champion.
Blanchard said that regardless of what happened, she won the WOW World Championship on her own, and the only reason Jungle Grrrl was undefeated for eighteen years was that she never faced someone like her before.
That was enough for Jungle Grrrl, as she made her way down ringside, much to the chagrin of the champ. Jungle Grrrl reminded her that it took two competitors to pin her shoulders to the mat. She then challenged Blanchard to a match, but they were interrupted by the Monsters of Madness, Havok and Hazard.
Blanchard left Jungle Grrrl to deal with the Monsters, but Jungle Grrrl found an ally in the Beast of all people. Tonight, the unlikely duo would go two-on-two with the Monsters of Madness tonight.
Our first match featured the Norwegian Nightmare, Nikki Krumpus, facing off against Princess Aussie, carrying her bamboo sticks to the ring.
Nikki Krumpus w/Sophia Lopez vs Princess Aussie
Aussie avoided a few rushing attacks from Krumpus early on, leading to a waist lock. Krumpus responded with a shoulder breaker and attempted to yank Aussie's shoulder out of her socket. Aussie managed to get to the ropes to flip out of a wrist lock, but was booted into the corner.
The powerful Krumpus drove Aussie's sternum into the corner with a few shoulder thrusts. However, Aussie avoided an attack in the opposite corner, leapfrogging over the charging behemoth. A roll-up led to a kick to the face, sending Krumpus into the turnbuckle. A Stinger Splash connected, but a second one was stopped when Krumpus tripped her up, sending her face first into the turnbuckle. A headbutt gave Krumpus a nearfall.
Aussie avoided an elbow drop and attempted a German. Krumpus blocked it but was sent into the ropes where she was battered by a series of elbow strikes. A rolling neckbreaker left Krumpus down on the mat. However, as Aussie moved to the top, Sophia Lopez held on to her legs. Aussie fought her off, but Lopez distracted the referee, allowing Krumpus to pelt Aussie in the sternum with the bamboo sticks, finishing her with The Happy Holiday.
Results: Nikki Krumpus defeated Princess Aussie via pinfall.
After the match, Princess Aussie was kidnapped by Holidead and Siren.
The Temptress w/The Dagger vs Reyna Reyes
Temptress brought Reyes down easily after countering a wrist lock, keeping her on the mat with a lock of her own. An inside cradle saw Reyes kick out at one. Back to their feet, Reyes brought Temptress down with a mat slam. Temptress attempted to get back on top, but was caught in Reyes' legs, who trapped Temptress in an armbar.
Temptress broke away and sent Reyes into the turnbuckle where she pelted her with kicks and a forearm strike. Reyes was shot into the opposite corner but escaped, leaping over her opponent and sending her across the ring with an armdrag and a springboard armdrag. A springboard armdrag in the corner sent Temptress face first into the middle turnbuckle. A reverse DDT leg drop gave Reyes the two count.
Dagger distracted Reyes as she moved to the top rope, allowing Temptress to bring her down for a near fall. Temptress choked Reyes out in between the ropes and brought her out for a backbreaker. Reyes kicked out again. A few shots to Reyes' gut stopped her from building back any momentum, and a bycicle kick seemingly knocked her out. Temptress decided to taunt the fans instead of attempting a pinfall, allowing Reyes to recover enough to kick out at two.
Reyes kicked out of a second pinfall following a series of punches to the jaw. Temptress planted her with a spinebuster, but she still couldn't keep her down. Finally, Reyes blocked a boot and responded with a series of european uppercuts and a spinning back fist. A springboard cutter planted Temptress in the middle of the mat, but she miraculously broke out of the pinfall.
Dagger was kicked away by Reyes who then picked up the pinfall with the Beauty Queen Twister Press from the top rope.
Results: Reyna Reyes defeated The Temptress via pinfall.
A vignette of the Psycho Sisters played, highlighting the skill of Mezmeriah, who'll be making her debut next week.
In the Tag Team Championship series, The Disciplinarian will team up with Abilene Maverick, thanks to Samantha Smart. Their union was established back when Maverick was injured, with Smart getting the Disciplinarian a match against Stephy Slays, a mutual enemy of Maverick. Tonight, Smart's team would battle the unique duo of Sassy Massy & Chantilly Chella.
The Disciplinarian w/Samantha Smart & Abilene Maverick vs Sassy Massy & Chantilly Chella
Chella and the Disciplinarian started the match with Chella bringing her opponent down with a Thesz Press and a series of dropkicks. Massy tagged in, crashing down on Disciplinarian's back with a senton after a drop toe hold from Chella. A double elbow drop damaged Disciplinarian, but she easily overpowered Massy when she got back to her feet, taking her to her own corner.
Maverick tagged in but was overtaken by Massy's incredible speed, forcing Maverick to tag right back out. Disciplinarian was bounced off the mat with the Complete Shot. When Disciplinarian sent her out on the apron, Maverick speared her, allowing Disciplinarian to get back in the match.
Maverick tagged back in, connecting with a diving axe handle while Disciplinarian dropped Massy with a sidewalk slam. Maverick then pushed Chella off the apron before bringing Massy back to her corner. Disciplinarian came back inside, damaging the sternum with a few shoulder thrusts in the corner.
Massy was trapped in the ropes, getting choked out by Maverick, Disciplinarian, and even beaten with a ruler by Smart when Chella tried to get involved, distracting the referee. However, Massy bounced off the ropes and took Disciplinarian down with a clothesline. Maverick tagged in, cutting off Massy before she could get to her partner.
An abdominal stretch tortured Massy. As she nearly broke away, a facebuster into the mat set up Disciplinarian for a huge facebuster. However, Massy kicked out and bounced off the ropes, leading to both competitors bashing their faces off the mat with facebusters. Massy finally tagged in Chella with Maverick getting in as well. A series of kicks from Chella left Maverick rocked.
A leg sweep set up for a running meteora where Maverick kicked out at two. A running knee to the jaw in the corner set up a wobbly Maverick for a missile dropkick. Disciplinarian tried to get inside to break up Chella's offense, but Massey sent her outside. Chella and Massy finished off Maverick with a Complete Shot-Cutter combination.
Results: Chantilly Chella & Sassy Massy defeated Abilene Maverick & The Disciplinarian via pinfall.
Backstage, Smart tried to keep Maverick and the Disciplinarian from each other's throats.
Monsters of Madness vs Jungle Grrrl & The Beast
Hazard and Jungle Grrrl took out Beast and Havok respectively before starting the match. A snapmare and kick from Hazard led to a pinfall, but not even a one count. The Beast tagged herself in, agitating Grrrl. Havok then tagged in, looking to brawl with the monster.
Havok withstood clotheslines and a bycicle kick to the knee, and with a distraction from Hazard, sent the Beast into MoM's corner. Havok crashed into the Beast and choked her out as Hazard crushed her sternum with shoulder blocks. The Beast responded with a falling forward powerslam and made it to her corner with Grrrl tagged herself in.
Jungle Grrrl avoided an attack from Havok and connected with a body splash in the corner, taking out Hazard. Coming back out, Havok tried to toss her into the turnbuckle. Grrrl leapt over Havok, sending her face first into the middle turnbuckle and driving her furth in with a double knee strike to the back. Hazard's German suplex attempt was blocked, and she was met by a clothesline. A German from Grrrl sent Havok across the ring.
Hazard finally put a stop to Grrrl's onslaught with a cutter. Beast mowed her down with a spear, only to be planted in the middle of the ring with a two-handed chokeslam. A Boston crab couldn't keep Beast down, and Jungle Grrrl sent her to the corner with a dropkick. Beast and Grrrl argued while Hazard went out for a chair. Hazard connected with the weapon, forcing a DQ.
Results: Jungle Grrrl & The Beast defeated Monsters of Madness via DQ.
As the Beast turned her back, Grrrl knocked her to the mat with a chair shot, then proceeded to choke her out. The referees rushed the ring, breaking up the brawl before it went too far.
