The word ‘attire’, when used as a verb means ‘Be dressed in clothes of a specified kind’. The WWF/E took the word ‘specific’ to an unimaginable extent as they thought fans would reciprocate and relate to the various attires that the superstars wore.
Some attires and dresses became cult hits whereas others were undeniably bizarre. Let us take a walk down memory lane as we highlight some of WWE/F’s worst attires ever.
15. Viscera
“The World’s Largest Love Machine” Viscera features exclusively on our list for the humongous velour suit and the pajamas he sported. A former King of the Ring, Viscera looked bizarre with his white contact lenses and bleached mohawk that accompanied the costume. Hard to believe he was a part of the ‘ministry of darkness’, a stable everyone actually feared.
14. Gobbeldy Gooker
The Guerrero family has contributed immensely to the wrestling world. But something that would probably put the legacy of the family to shame would be the Gobbledy Gooker, a turkey gimmick. Portrayed by Eddie Guerrero‘s brother, The Gobbledy Gooker “hatched” from an oversized egg during SummerSlam. The concept as a whole received negative reactions right from the start and later disappeared.
13. Rico Constantino
A Tag Team champion in his own rights, Rico was introduced to WWE as the homosexual ‘hair stylist’ of Billy-Chuck. He carved a niche for himself with his over-the-top gimmick and outrageous dressing sense. Rico, with his Wolverine looks and face paint has sported everything from safari outfits to skin tight dresses. He actually walks into our list with respect to anything he ever wore in the ring.
12. Rick Rude
This ‘Simply Ravishing’ and self-proclaimed “Sexiest Man Alive” was a four time world champion. Rude’s physique has been named by WWE as the greatest in the history of professional wrestling. But unfortunately, he chose the wrong pair of pants to flaunt them. Rude’s tights included airbrushed images of other wrestlers on them. Not so ‘Ravishing’ after all.
11. Zack Ryder
Zack Ryder is perhaps one of the ‘coolest’ superstars of the modern era. With a self made accent, an internet channel and some cool pick up lines, Ryder became famous overnight. But one thing that we don’t understand is his bizarre ring apparel. Ryder wore a purple one long pant leg, sported a greased and spiked hair along with yellow shades. Not so ‘Woo Woo Woo’ after all there Zack.
