WrestleMania 34 Predictions Extravaganza: Match order, match length and winners

Th
This year's WrestleMania could be the biggest yet!

With WrestleMania 34 only one week away, there are still a lot of details around the New Orleans spectacular left unanswered. In typical WWE form, the event is shrouded in mystery, not just when it comes to card order, but in terms of personnel and how many matches we could actually see.

This year's event could be the biggest of all time - looking like a seven-hour special with any of around five matches that could go on last.

I'm going to try and address all of these questions here - and speak about everything from match order, to match time, surprise guests and outcomes.

Here, I list the card in chronological order from start to finish, and my prediction for The Grandest Stage of Them All.

#1 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

T
There had been
talk
the Andre Battle Royal may have been a big deal this year

Okay, so this one may be controversial, but SOMETHING has to go on first. I think we kick off the kick-off show with the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

With this event again having almost no build and not a great deal of big-name talent involved, there wouldn't be much reason to put it on the main roster unless WWE brings out a big name on the day. Given how stacked the card is, though, I wouldn't bet on it.

Not pictured above is also Dolph Ziggler, who I'd make as one of the favourites to win it, though. There's a good chance we see at least two former winners in Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley here, none of whom got a huge push after winning, and maybe three if Big Show appears. Tyler Breeze and Fandango are also scheduled to appear but no other names are yet known.

Now, with the Andre The Giant HBO special airing soon, there had been talk this might be big, but I think it'll be used as a platform for a talent who should have arguably been on the main show to win it. I think we will see a few NXT talents here - maybe Killian Dain again, maybe Lars Sullivan, or even Andrade Cien Almas or Adam Cole like at the Royal Rumble.

My massive outside bet to win is Drew McIntyre - but I'm putting the favourite for this match as Woken Matt Hardy. Given his star power and how over the character is, I'm going to say Bray Wyatt returns at WrestleMania to help Hardy win the Battle Royal.

Match length - 20 minutes to half an hour.

#2 Cruiserweight Championship Match - Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

A new
A new Cruiserweight Champion will be crowned

While I'd LOVE this match to be on the main card and think it will be incredible, I think it's the second and final pre-show match.

205 Live has been completely revamped recently and the tournament to crown a new champion has pumped new blood into the brand.

However, with less Cruiserweight action on Raw, as a result, this match may not be seen as the mainstream hit to keep the crowd as hot - so I think it goes on second.

I do think we will see a 25-minute match, though, and this one could go either way. A few months ago, I was certain that Alexander would win, but I think the pendulum has well and truly swung in the favour of Mustafa Ali recently - particularly in his campaign to change perceptions and just his "promo" style.

I think Ali will win this incredible contest to become the new Cruiserweight Champion and the face of the brand. He's the perfect face to draw out a new monster heel from the roster - much like Neville was last year.

#3 WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

The i
The first ever Women's Battle Royal could kick off the show

Okay, so now to the main show. While I think we could see either the Intercontinental Championship or United States Championship match kick off the show, I finally settled on the first ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal.

While this match should have been one to grasp the attention after the first ever Women's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chambers this year, and the first ever Women's Money In The Bank within the calendar year, this match grasped more attention over its controversial name before WWE took action to change it.

While this match could be a star-studded match featuring legends and NXT stars alike, a lot of the women on the main roster are also confirmed for the match.

The main story heading in is undoubtedly Sasha vs Bayley, but I think both women cancel each other out here. I think we're looking at a 25-30 minute event here where Ruby Riott, Naomi, and possibly Ember Moon if she appears, all have great showings. But I think this is the match where a former SmackDown Women's Champion gets back on track as a singles competitor.

My prediction? A Becky Lynch win in a very exciting and fast-paced match.

#4 SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match - The Usos vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers

Wil
Will we see a special stipulation added?

Now, there's a lot of talk that this match may indeed be a TLC match. Regardless, I think we see it fairly early on in the card - but it has all the makings to be an absolute show-stealer.

The Usos and The New Day had one of the feuds of the year last year, putting on some of the best tag team matches we've seen in WWE for years. After weeks of fleeting interactions with Harper and Rowan, the monstrous duo laid out both teams at Fastlane.

Now, I think we get a stipulation added here, and I hope we do. I think it's the best way to get to the result, which I think is the Usos retaining, without harming the Bludgeon Brothers.

Of course, neither Harper or Rowan would need to be pinned to lose - but I think seeing The Usos grab the belt from the ladders gives them a much-deserved WrestleMania moment on their first ever Mania main card match.

This one could even break the half-hour mark, maybe even 35-40 minutes. Usos win.

#5 Raw Women's Championship Match - Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax

G
Alexa Bliss will face the woman she said should have a title shot

Well, this match didn't even look like happening a few weeks ago. We were on course for Alexa Bliss vs Asuka for the Raw Women's Champion until the Royal Rumble winner appeared at Fastlane to challenge Charlotte for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Nia Jax had been trying to add herself to the match while facing Asuka in recent weeks, and coming very close to ending the streak. Bliss had even said that the Irresistible Force deserved to be in the title match - but I don't think this is what she had in mind.

This rivalry has tackled real-life issues such as body-shaming in recent weeks, and Nia Jax has become a huge babyface with Alexa maintaining her place as one of the top heels in the company.

I think we will see a 15-minute encounter here where Alexa Bliss gets some heat on a body part of Jax, potentially her knee, but Nia overcomes the champion to become the new Raw Women's Champion.

#6 United States Championship Match - Randy Orton vs Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev

The
The United States Championship Match got a whole lot more interesting

This one escalated quickly. From Randy Orton vs Bobby Roode, WWE then added Jinder Mahal, and then this week, Rusev pinned the champion to earn his place.

Orton became a Grand Slam Champion when he won the US title from Roode at Fastlane, but it looks like that win may be short-lived as he faces an uphill battle to keep the belt.

While a Rusev win would please the fans, I don't see it happening - I think this one goes 25 minutes and Jinder Mahal walks away with the strap. It's been coming for a while, but maybe we see a face Rusev challenge Mahal in the coming weeks for the title. That could be a refreshing rivalry for the title!

#7 Intercontinental Championship Match - The Miz vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor

This one
Miz is in a tight spot

This one could go any of the three men. All three men here have a huge shout at being champion and The Miz faces probably his toughest battle yet to keep the Intercontinental Champion.

I think this match will go a good 30 minutes, and I'm going to stick my neck out and say, given his daughter was born this week, The Miz drops the Championship. I think he will equal Jericho's nine reigns later this year and break the combined days record on that run.

While I believe Finn Balor and Seth Rollins will enter into a rivalry for the title after Mania, WWE loves to make history on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

My pick, Seth Rollins. If The Architect wins, he becomes the final Shield member to become a Grand Slam Champion - and that would be pretty cool.

#8 SmackDown Women's Championship - Charlotte vs Asuka

WWE's two
WWE's two most dominant women face off

THIS could be one of the most unpredictable matches on the card. The undefeated Asuka goes up against WWE's other dominant female in Charlotte. This one really could go either way.

I mean, WWE loves ending streaks at WrestleMania, right?

I think this match is a 30-minute all-out war that sees Charlotte push Asuka to her very limits. I would say we will see both women completely lay each other out and leave it all in the ring, and I think there are two solutions here - neither of which end in one of these women leaving with the belt.

Carmella is still hovering around with that Money In The Bank briefcase. What better heel heat than to capitalise on these women decimating each other, and either end Asuka's streak after she near kills herself taking the title from the Queen? Or taking the championship from Charlotte after she becomes the first ever woman to defeat Asuka?

I'm going to go with the second option. I think Charlotte will defeat Asuka to end the streak, and Carmella capitalises to successfully cash in on Charlotte, leaving the WWE Universe absolutely shocked and angered.

#9 Raw Tag Team Championships Match - The Bar vs Braun Strowman and ?

WHo wil
Who will partner Braun Strowman?

After Kurt Angle confirmed that Braun Strowman MUST have a partner at WrestleMania to receive his Championship opportunity, the internet has been rife with rumours.

James Ellsworth, Heath Slater, Curt Hawkins, Big Show, Kane, Bray Wyatt and Bobby Lashley have all been rumoured to team with the Monster Among Men. Even MMC partner Alexa Bliss has been suggested - but she might be in no shape to help after her match with Nia Jax.

The most prominent rumour may indeed be the most likely - and that is Braun Strowman's long-running rival Elias. Now there are two ways this match could go. And, well, only two ways.

Braun wins. His partner is irrelevant. After decimating the Tag Team Champions in singles action, Strowman defeats both men and his partner becomes champion by proxy.

OR Strowman's partner costs them the match and Braun decimates everything and everyone.

Now, I'm adding two qualifiers here as this match is very unpredictable. I think it'll only run ten minutes - but if Elias isn't Braun's partner, I think he's on the card as a musical act and interacts with The Rock.

Likewise, if Braun loses, I think he may interrupt a match later in the night, but we'll get to that...

Sticking with one prediction, the match goes 15-20 minutes, Strowman and Elias win the titles.

#10 Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

Th
This match could have closed the show

This is the first of five matches that could close the show. The world will be watching Ronda Rousey's WWE in-ring debut and, while I think it will be a cameo at best, I think it goes on relatively "early" - although that is definitely a relative term given the length of this card.

This will be a short match, Kurt Angle and Triple H will definitely start it out, or at least the physicality, after Stephanie backs off from Ronda - maybe even starting the match but tagging out before the UFC star gets her hands on her boss.

I think we see a nice 15-minute exchange between Angle and Triple H before Rousey kills the match by almost ripping Stephanie's arm out of the socket.

Result - Rousey and Angle win emphatically.

#11 WWE Championship Match - Shinsuke Nakamura vs AJ Styles

The d
The dream match is on!

Well, this match could close any show on the planet. While WWE may not want the casual audience to know, these two have met in the past and Shinsuke Nakamura won that one on his home turf.

This one may not be pleasant news for Nakamura fans, but I think AJ Styles takes this one home. Ideally, WWE could have built up the previous match, give AJ this win, then gone to a rubber match at a special show in Japan, and had Nakamura win - playing off home advantage and building to a HUGE pop.

There had been rumours of Styles going to Raw and Nakamura winning, but I think we will see The Phenomenal One prevail here in a match of the year contender - and both men showing respect to each other after the match.

My prediction - Styles, 45-50 minute match, Meltzer five-star rating incoming.

#12 WWE Universal Championship Match - Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns

Lesnar
Lesnar and Reigns will fight it out yet again

Here's my bold prediction - Lesnar and Reigns do NOT go on last. In fact, they don't even go on second last.

There's not much to say here, the only two men to defeat the Undertaker at WrestleMania clash one-on-one. Only this time, there's no Seth Rollins hovering about with a briefcase. This one will be physical, I think it will go for 35 minutes, and Roman Reigns will win the Universal Championship for the first time - with Brock Lesnar taking a lengthy spell away from WWE after.

Now, I have one circumstance where this match would need to go on last. Roman Reigns wins, he holds the belt aloft to hear, "I told you, I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!" And Braun Strowman comes out to wreck everything and everyone, closing the pay-per-view by holding the belt aloft and signalling his intent to take it from Reigns.

That's unlikely, though, so I'll say a straight win for Reigns. No Paul Heyman betrayal, no funny business, just a succession of Superman Punches and Spears.

#13 Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Daniel Bry
Daniel Bryan returns

So, talk about a high-stakes match. This one could go ANYWHERE on the card - but I think the news of Daniel Bryan being cleared to wrestle again was so monumental, that it's the penultimate match on the card.

This one is nigh-on impossible to predict, but I think we get a shocking finish to the match.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are fired. If they fail to win here, they remain fired. Now, they could go to Raw, and my first thought here was that Daniel Bryan would be left alone after Shane's recent health scare to face both men by himself.

While I think that could still be the case, and D-Bry could shock New Orleans as the underdog again, I think we see a Zayn and Owens win.

How does it happen?

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan haven't exactly seen eye to eye recently, and my initial thought was dissension in the ranks causing Owens and Zayn to win - but I don't think Daniel Bryan will turn on Shane McMahon, and while an outside guess maybe Shane turning on Bryan to align with Owens and Zayn, that seems highly unlikely.

I think Shane's health problems will cause him to be stretchered to the back early on in this match and, while Daniel Bryan fights off Owens and Zayn for the most part, Shane comes back out to try to save Bryan from Owens and Zayn, only to get decimated himself and eat the pin.

If Bryan were to pick up the win, this could easily have gone on last. I'm saying 25 mins, Owens and Zayn win.

#14 John Cena vs The Undertaker

Is this dr
Is this dream match going to happen?

So, if this happens, it almost HAS to go on last. With John Cena calling out the Undertaker on Raw recently in what would definitely be another dream match, Taker has refused to accept.

With the go-home Raw tomorrow, though, it looks like the challenge may finally be answered. It looks like this match is on the cards, but after his exit against Roman Reigns last year, we may just see a very different Undertaker to the one we're used to.

When he showed up at Raw 25 in a robe, we were left with more questions than answers. So, could this be Undertaker's final bow? Could we see one more match from The Deadman against the man who's eluded him his whole career?

It's pretty crazy that this match has never happened at WrestleMania - so I think it does, and it closes the show.

My prediction? John Cena defeats The Undertaker, and Taker "passes the torch" in a symbolic way to Cena as locker room leader. A handshake, and a final goodbye as the man, not the myth.

20-minute match (not including the inevitably long entrance where Undertaker is in great physical shape and we see a much better match than last year)

One can hope...
