In an attempt to follow arguably the best NXT TakeOver event in history, the pressure was on WrestleMania 34 to deliver.

#5 Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali in action

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali wanted to represent their division with a performance worth praising and give the crowd a new Cruiserweight Champion worth admiring. The match told a fantastic story as both men took their respective roles as the heart and soul of 205 Live. Alexander took control early on, and Ali managed to fight him off over and over again, pulling out some phenomenal reversals including a Spanish Fly from the top rope.

No matter what Ali could muster up, Alexander was able to turn it around time after time. He stopped Ali in his tracks and both men clearly became more agitated as the match went on.

In the end, Alexander nailed Ali with two reverse elbows before reluctantly hitting a third. Alexander then lifted Ali into the air and executed the Lumbar Check to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

#4 Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

To witness Daniel Bryan make his comeback in the same venue where he first became WWE World Heavyweight Champion was truly Surreal. From the moment his music hit, it was just magical. There were loud Daniel Bryan chants, the live crowd loved him and he let the management know who actually is the most popular babyface.

The match started with Bryan getting taken out early, which resulted in a handicap match that saw Shane getting assaulted by Owens and Zayn until Bryan finally returned to save the day. Bryan finished the match with his signature Yes! kicks while leading the crowd into a YES! chant before hitting the running knee strike and forcing Sami Zayn to tap out with the YES! lock.

#3 Charlotte vs Asuka

Elbow strike to Asuka

Following the Intercontinental Championship match was a tough job to do but Charlotte and Asuka made it work. This was a stiff and dexterous match, filled with great psychology, storytelling, and intensity that the Women's division had not shown for a long time.

Asuka is at her best when someone is capable enough to meet her intensity in the ring and Charlotte was more than up for the challenge.

Charlotte won with a breathtaking Spanish Fly off the top rope. Following a huge spear and the Figure 8 leg lock to produce a surprising tap out from Asuka. I love how Charlotte had to go out of her way to win the match, it made everything look Important.

#2 Seth Rollins vs The Miz vs Finn Balor

The grand slam champion

When you impartially promulgate the people involved in a match to their lavishing capaciousness and get the crowd invested in it as a whole! You get an instant classic in the ring.

Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and The Miz did exactly that. Fifteen minutes of flawless action filled with tons of great near falls. The three wrestlers gave everything they could to put on an amusing contest and that's what the event needed to immediately raise the bar. A perfect way to start the show and arguably the best WrestleMania opener of the past 5 years.

The finish came when Seth Rollins hit a double Curb Stomp on The Miz and Finn Balor, seconds after Balor struck Miz with a Coup de Grace. “The Architect” then landed another Curb Stomp on The Miz for the win. Rollins winning was the right choice, and to top it off, he is a Grand Slam Champion.

Woman on the planet!

A remarkable showing for Ronda Rousey that is going to assist her a lot in her career moving forward. The match was extremely good and Rousey didn't look out of her depth whatsoever. She was delicate in just about everything. Her athleticism was astounding, and you can tell that she was absolutely prepared for this moment.

Ronda was a fan favorite from the moment she made her entrance, the fans were raucous for the entire match and the ending could not have been done better. Props to Stephanie McMahon for being able to hang out with Rousey and for selling everything being thrown at her in a spectacular fashion.

I don't believe many people expected the kind of performance she displayed on her first night as a wrestler. This was a better match than anyone could have imagined.
