WWE unearthed something they never knew existed with Kofi Kingston. For 11 years, Kofi has just been a loveable guy in the company who does cool spots here and there. But an injury to Mustafa Ali changed all that.

Kofi Kingston's performance at Elimination Chamber coupled with the crowd reactions has forced WWE to change their plans at Wrestlemania 35 for the WWE championship. Kofi has always been a solid in-ring performer but was never seen as a main-event superstar.

Now, the match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston has not been made official but anyone who has been watching WWE for some time knows where this is going. On the latest episode of Smackdown Live, Kofi was forced to battle five men in a gauntlet match. Though he emerged victoriously, Vince Mcmohan put him another match against Bryan which Kofi eventually ended up losing.

According to kayfabe, that effectively ends Kofi's chances at Wrestlemania but the match is almost definitely going to happen. A Kofi Kingston victory after a decent back and forth match would be the perfect end to the saga.

Anything otherwise would be a bit of a disappointment.
