Sami Zayn has been out action for a long time after he tore both of his rotator cuffs. PW Insider reported back in January that Zayn was close to a return after the successful surgery on his shoulders, but the imminent return has not happened yet for Zayn.
With WrestleMania on the horizon, it would be the perfect time to bring back Sami Zayn on WWE programming. Owens and Zayn have had quite an on/off relationship with numerous partnerships and turns.
Both of them had multiple feuds across NXT and on the main roster. They can have like one of those silly feuds WWE likes to do where Owens forgot about his best friend, so a heel Zayn has a grudge with a face Kevin Owens.
Both Owens and Zayn are good at playing any roles in WWE, so, a heel Zayn and a face Owens would be an interesting feud leading up to WrestleMania.
