The Undertaker’s last Mania match was against John Cena in WrestleMania 34 where he was matched up against the face that runs the place. The match did not live up to expectations as John Cena did not fit the image of an ideal fighter against the Deadman and lost the match within minutes.

Undertaker’s last appearance in WWE was at Crown Jewel PPV when he teamed up with his half-brother, Kane, against Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The Brothers of Destruction failed to live up their former glory as they lost to their long term rivals after a lackluster performance.

The Undertaker and WrestleMania have a different story altogether. He is perhaps the only wrestler who has redefined consistency, and has shown that year after year at the biggest sporting event on the WWE calendar. It will be somewhat shocking to not see the Deadman feature in WrestleMania 35.
