#2 Samoa Joe introduces his own Open Challenge
In 2015, John Cena started the United States Open Challenge on the night after WrestleMania. The Open Challenge lead Cena to some of the greatest matches in his career, resulting in probably the Champ's greatest year in WWE.
Fast forward to 2019, R-Truth started his own US Championship Open Challenge, much like his “hero" John Cena. Truth's reign was short lived as Samoa Joe, along with Andrade and Rey Mysterio answered on the most recent episode of SmackDown, and Joe said “night night” to his fallen competitors, claiming the championship.
WWE hasn't ever really booked Samoa Joe as the nasty, mean powerhouse he can be. It's now time they do. An easy way could be Samoa Joe presenting his own United States Open Challenge, and destroying everyone on the Road to WrestleMania, and potentially John Cena on the Show of Immortals.
