Yes, we have seen her accept punishment at the hands of both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. But, the two epic beat-downs of Rousey happened before and at Survivor Series in 2018.
Not only did the beatings leave a lasting impression, but also made for some entertaining television.
WWE likes to present some of its performers as badass and untouchable, but this feud and the WrestleMania match doesn’t need to have Rousey as the undefeated monster, rather a wounded fighter. Again, Charlotte decimating her serves a dual purpose. This feud becomes more compelling with a slightly ‘broken’ Ronda Rousey, rather than an untouchable UFC fighter, cum ‘no-kayfabe’ Professional Wrestler.
