Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar have a history together, going all the way back to 2015 when the Architect cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 to win the WWE Title.

Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.

Rollins managed to win this year's Royal Rumble match, and immediately challenged The Beast for the Universal Title.

After two months of very little build up for this match, Lesnar being absent and Rollins being injured, this feud has been completely lackluster.

The only meaningful segments that we got was the night after the Royal Rumble, where Rollins was laid out with 6 F5's, and the segment this week of Rollins gaining the upper hand on Lesnar.

Analysis:

There is only one word to describe this feud. Lackluster. It definitely had the makings to be something truly special that we could be hyped about. That is not the case though, as it feels like this match was made an afterthought.

Lesnar's lack of appearances was the ultimate reason why this feud has failed, no matter how much The Beast's advocate tried to hype it all up. It doesn't help that Paul Heyman has started to get quite boring and repetitive with his own promo's.

Rollins' back injury could not have come at a worse time for him. He needed the time in the ring between Royal Rumble and Fastlane to get himself some confidence and momentum, ahead of this match.

He now goes into this match with zero momentum and literally very little build around the contest to be excited over.

Seth's promo segments on Raw in the build up were between average and good. You definitely know that he is more of a ring general, rather than a character worker.

There was very little substance in his first couple of promo's, where he was just saying unconvincingly that he would take the title off Lesnar. What he needed to do was to convincingly prove how or why he can beat Lesnar.

I believe that he can beat Lesnar, but I wasn't entirely convinced at first, due to some of his earlier promo's were executed poorly. His promo this week echoed what everyone thinks of The Beast and was delivered better.

This match has a lot riding on it purely from a fan's perspective, as the company needs to get the title off Lesnar and let him leave for good.

He has outstayed his welcome and demolished nearly everybody in his path. His lack of title defenses are a joke and he is just there to collect his paycheck.

It has honestly got me baffled how Lesnar is still a champion. It sets a bad example to the locker room and the WWE Universe of how little he cares about the business.

The male Superstars on Raw don't have a world title to fight for, and haven't done for the most part of two years. He is not as big a draw as what many claim him to be either, due to the times he has shown up over the last year, the ratings haven't changed.

I think that this match is a 50/50 type of match and it could go either way. The build has been a letdown, which doesn't really give Rollins a lot of momentum going into this match. Lesnar will be his usual self.

If Rollins is going to beat him, he will have to target something on Lesnar like his stomach (remember Lesnar has had problems with diverticulitis) or target a lower limb like his knees. If Brock is to beat Seth, then all he has to is about 15 suplexes and a few F5's.

Maybe get him to tap to the kimura lock. I expect it to be similar to all Brock's other matches with smaller men, but it depends what sort of mood he is in.

Prediction: Seth Rollins becomes the new Universal Champion after a brutal match.
