WrestleMania 35 Predictions | Buddy Murphy vs Tony Nese | Cruiserweight Championship Match | WrestleMania 2019
First of all, let's talk about the obvious: the Cruiserweight Title will again be defended on the kick-off show during WrestleMania 35.
No matter how much work the 205 Live Superstars put into their bouts, they always end up being relegated to the pre-show. When the original match card for this year's kick-off show was announced, fans were elated to find out that the Cruiserweight match wasn't on the card.
Soon after, WWE added the match to the kick-off, making sure that these two incredible athletes are going to lock horns inside a half-empty stadium.
Tony Nese is Murphy's longtime friend and training partner and knows him better than anyone else on the 205 Live roster. Murphy has had an exceptional reign with the title, which he won way back in Australia, at the Super Show-Down event. Ever since then, the champion has put down the likes of Akira Tozawa, Cedric Alexander, and Mark Andrews.
Tony Nese had a string of impressive outings throughout the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. He went through Kalisto, Drew Gulak, and former Champion Cedric Alexander to get the opportunity to battle Murphy for the belt.
Although Murphy seemed to be in good terms with his challenger, it all turned out to be for naught as the champion proceeded to hit Nese with a thunderous boot to the face.
On this week's edition of 205 Live, Murphy attacked an unsuspecting Nese while he was giving an interview, leading to a backstage brawl with both Superstars holding their own against the other.
I'm going with Nese on this one. Murphy has held onto the title for a good while now. It's time to shake things up a bit and giving the title to Nese would be a step in the right direction. After what he has been through over the past several months, Nese deserves to walk out of the Stadium with the title shining on his waist.
What do you think of this prediction? Sound off!
WrestleMania 35 will be live and Exclusive on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 (Hindi) channels on 8th April 2019 from 2.30 am IST
