#2 Samoa Joe(c) beats Rey Mysterio

The match barely lasted a minute.
The match barely lasted a minute.

Samoa Joe defeated Rey Mysterio in just about a minute at WrestleMania 35. We aren't sure exactly why it was so short, but it could have been because Mysterio had picked up an ankle injury during his match against Baron Corbin on RAW, 6 days before the event. Now, if Mysterio wasn't fit enough for his US Championship match against Joe. He should have been replaced there.

Though it has been good to see Joe win another championship match, it was quite disappointing to see him squash Mysterio. Rather than making Joe a monster, it tarnished the 'Mania legacy of Mysterio.

WWE could have been wise here to give an opportunity to Andrade or Kevin Owens Especially, Andrade deserved the opportunity since he hasn't put a wrong step inside a WWE ring. On the other hand, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe would have been a certain kind of dream match that would have been WrestleMania worthy. Then, there was always Ali sitting on the bench.

WWE certainly, missed a trick here. Joe defeating one of these guys in a match that lasted a little longer would have meant so much more.
