The Revival

The Revival has often been overlooked as threats since joining the main roster.

The Revival just seem perfect as a fit in a faction like a Dangerous Alliance.

They are technical heels and are throwbacks to when the art of tag wrestling meant a little more than it does today.

Original alliance members Bobby Eaton and Arn Anderson did have a run together as tag champions, defeating Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat.

The Revival are more reminiscent of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, but regardless of faction, Anderson and whomever were great heels. So are the Revival.

Their whole 'Top Guys' gimmick is also perfectly suited for a faction of condescending heels, but like other options on this list, they can more than back it up in the ring.

They wouldn't need Heyman as a mouthpiece, but just the fact that they would have other factions backing them up would make them much more dangerous.

When the Four Horsemen and Evolution were at their peaks, they had their hands in practically every title race.

It made every match they were in all the more important. Whomever took the belts for them was given a rub and that is something a lot of the younger wrestlers coming up from NXT could use from time to time.

Like Apollo and Cesaro, both are in need of a reboot and being members of a dominant faction would be a good way to do it.

They would likely get a bigger push if Triple H had even more influence. His NXT talents have mostly been hit or miss since joining the main roster, but if/when he takes over, they will hopefully be booked closer to how they were on the yellow brand.

The Revival basically ruled the NXT tag division for a while but so much has been done to forget that.

Once January comes and we know who are and aren't some of the new signees, maybe the tag divisions on both shows can be refocused and rejuvenated.
