Danny Burch vs Lio Rush

Danny Burch and Lio Rush shook hands before immediately going for the takedown. Leading to a stalemate, Rush backed up and gathered himself. Burch got his hands back on Rush, stomping on his hands and bringing him to the mat with a side headlock.

Rush made it to his feet and used his speed to avoid Burch's offense, stunning him with a mule kick to the jaw. A kicking combination sent the Guvnor outside. Rush went in for a suicide dive but was hammered with a punch to the jaw, sending him sprawling to the floor on the other side of the ring.

Back on the inside, Burch continued to punish the Champ of the Hour. Burch's smash-mouth offense cut off several come back attempts from Rush, with some heavy uppercuts leaving the Cruiserweight Champion dazed and confused.

Rush finally got some offense in, hitting a springboard facebuster and a handspring back elbow. A tornado kick rocked Burch, but he kicked out at two. A strong headbutt from Burch left Rush out on the mat. Rush recovered and wrapped up his opponent for a roll-up.

Burch kicked out and spiked Rush with a powerbomb and a German suplex before turning him inside out with a ripcord lariat. Rush was able to connect with the Come Up, though, and moved up for the Final Hour. Before he could hit it, Angel Garza rushed the ring and shoved Rush off.

Results: Lio Rush defeated Danny Burch by DQ.

Following the bell, Garza sent Burch out to the floor before planting the champion with the Wing Clipper.

He then took the NXT Cruiserweight Championship and posed with it while Rush struggled to get off the mat.
