Goldust to conduct special interview with Cedric Alexander on 'The Golden Opportunity'
Goldust to conduct special interview with Cedric Alexander on 'The Golden Opportunity'

205 LIVE may no longer film at the end of SmackDown LIVE, but it's still on immediately after SmackDown LIVE on the WWE Network and the Zo-Train keeps on rolling as Enzo Amore's Cruiserweight Title rematch against challenger Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble draws nearer.

On tonight's show, Cedric's newest ally, Goldust conducts a special interview with the man he's started mentoring and TJP looks to get retribution after suffering a loss to Gran Metalik. That's about it.

TJP vs Gran Metalik

Gran Metalik is on the up!
Gran Metalik is on the up!

The show opens with a rematch from last week's 205 LIVE and also a rematch from the final of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament as TJP takes on Gran Metalik in an attempt to make up for his somewhat upset loss to 'The King of the Ropes' last week.

The two put on a great, fast-paced match that really allowed the crowd to get into the action. It also highlights just how good and effortless Gran Metalik is, again proving that he's one of a long list of guys the WWE might be under-utilising. Just look at this,

The finish came when TJP reversed the Metalik Driver and attempted a Double-Underhook set-up, only to get rolled up by Metalik who got the three count, much to the shock of TJP

Result: Gran Metalik Def. TJ Perkins

After the match, Dasha approaches TJP for an interview about his loss, but he appears to be crying and walks off, in a bizarre backstage segment.

We then get a backstage vignette about the continuing feud between Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Hideo Itami, who injured Gallagher's partner The Brian Kendrick with his GTS finishing move.

Jack Gallagher cuts a backstage promo about what he has 'planned' for Itami, telling him 'he will rue the day he came to 205 LIVE'

Goldust Vs. The Zo' Train (Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese)

Cedric Alexander and Goldust head to the ring for 'The Golden Opportunity' a talk-show style interview segment. The pair exchange words of friendship before likening themselves to Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese.

Cue Enzo Amore and the Zo-Train who take offence to Goldust's comparison, this eventually leads to a bizarre 3-on-1 handicap match with Goldust taking on the entire Zo' Train as Cedric Alexander and Enzo Amore watch on.

You could say that Goldust is more experienced and has the size advantage, but in reality there's no way he should be winning a match against the Zo' Train on his own, and luckily he doesn't, he spends most of the match getting beaten down by the numbers advantage until things devolve slightly and Cedric Alexander takes an opportunity to blast Amore with a dive.

Goldust takes advantage of Drew Gulak being distracted by the melee and ends the match with the Final Cut to pick up the victory.

Result: Goldust Def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari
