Backstage, Mike Kanellis blamed Drake Maverick for everything that's going on in his life. He said that thanks to him, he's going to continue to ruin 205 Live. Disappointed, Maverick said he had no choice but to fine him for his actions.

Kanellis questioned his reasoning, especially since there was a second baby on the way. He then claimed that something worse was on the way when he was in action next week. Maverick looked on, seemingly sad for Kanellis.

Oney Lorcan vs Ariya Daivari

Daivari wasn't even able to get to the ring before Lorcan rushed him on the ramp. Battering him up and down the ring area, he brought him inside the ring only to launch him over the top ropes. Daivari's head was bounced off the steel steps and struggled to get back to his feet while Lorcan tossed three chairs into the ring.

Lorcan sent Daivari inside, and continued the assault, laying into him with a series of running elbow strikes in the corner. Setting up the chair near the turnbuckle allowed Daivari to finally respond, tossing him over the ropes and slamming his head into the announcer's desk. Daivari went for a trash can, but as he came back around the ring was kicked by Lorcan and suplexed onto the floor.

It didn't take long for Daivari to respond, countering Lorcan's attempt to send him into the barricade, driving him into it shoulder first. As Lorcan was placed back inside the ring, Daivari brought in a ladder and a steel chain. He used the chain to tear at the nose of his opponent, wrapping it around his head and pulling back. With the ladder set up in the corner, Daivari tried to toss him into it. Lorcan countered, but Daivari stopped just in the nick of time.

The second time was the charm for Lorcan, as Daivari bounced him off of the ladder. Lorcan attempted a suplex onto it, but Daivari escaped and chopped him across the chest. However, a hip toss caused Daivari to land head first on the rungs of the ladder.

Lorcan set up the chair once again and tried to send Daivari into it with the Half-and-Half. Daivari escaped, bringing him down with the reverse DDT. Daivari used the chain again, wrapping it around Lorcan in order to send him into the turnbuckle repeatedly. Lorcan kicked out, but it seemed that he was left in a haze after his head was driven into the chain.

The steel chair wound up dishing out more punishment to Lorcan, as Daivari bounced his face off of it before putting his head through the back and putting in a Steiner Recliner of sorts. After a while, Daivari took him out and sat him up in the chair. Lorcan could barely keep his hands up, failing to block any punches from Daivari.

However, he was playing possum, as Daivari rushed into the ropes for a running clothesline but was instead tripped up by a drop toe hold, sending him careening into the chair. A running Blockbuster and running uppercut left Daivari slumped against the apron on the outside. As he managed to stand up, he was taken down by a dive from Lorcan.

The crowd erupted following Lorcan's comeback, and demanded tables. Lorcan obliged, bringing a table out from under the ring. Daivari stunned him as he was getting back inside the ring, placing a superkick perfectly on his jaw as he was in between the ropes. Lorcan crumbled to the outside, but as Daivari tried to dive off the apron, picked up the trash can and drove it into him, flattening the it in the process.

Lorcan threw the trash can lid and several chairs onto Daivari's nearly unconscious body. As the ref checked on his opponent, Lorcan set up six chairs, hoping to finish him off once and for all. Daivari made it back to his feet, and pelted him with shots from the lid. He brought Lorcan up to the top of the steps, looking to send him crashing through the chairs via suplex. Lorcan fought him off, but Daivari countered a powerbomb attempt, sending him falling through them with a back body drop.

Daivari brought Lorcan inside, and began setting up the table and ladder. Climbing up, he leaped off the ladder, landing on Lorcan with the Persian Lion Splash. However, Lorcan kicked out. Daivari let out a massive roar of frustration before grabbing a second table. Lorcan was placed on top of them, but made it to his feet before Daivari could come off the ropes for another Persian Lion Splash. A superplex ended the bout, with Oney Lorcan picking up the win.

Results: Oney Lorcan defeated Ariya Daivari via pinfall.

A hype package for the Cruiserweight Championship match at Extreme Rules played. Drew Gulak and Tony Nese were former allies, and both men claimed that the other was completely narcissistic. Gulak claimed that Nese robbed him of his WrestleMania moment, and after realizing he was once again all alone after Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Humberto Carrillo left him, he refocused.

The Submission Specialist reinvented himself, becoming a more dangerous superstar. At Stomping Grounds he captured the gold, but Nese claimed that he isn't the real champion until he can beat him one-on-one.
