Ariya Daivari vs Oney Lorcan

Lorcan rocked Daivari with a running uppercut before he even got his jacket off, bearing into him in the corner with knife edge chops in the chest and a running elbow. Daivari rolled to the outside to avoid another attack, attempting to escape over the barricade. Lorcan rolled him back inside, but he made his way to the other side and tried to run once again.

Lorcan finally got him inside the ring, where Daivari caught him with a kick to the gut. A one-legged dropkick rocked Daivari, but he was able to fight out of the Half-and-Half suplex. A stiff superkick sent the Star Destroyer into the corner, where he followed Lorcan up for a second rope Divorce Court.

Lorcan was trying to bring feeling back into his left arm, giving Daivari a chance to repay Lorcan for all the punishment he's received so far. An arm breaker and a knee drop to the left shoulder continued to wear down Lorcan.

Daivari was nearly caught in the Half-and-Half, but the damage to Lorcan's arm allowed him to escape, where he sent Lorcan shoulder first into the turnbuckles. In the middle of the ring, Lorcan's arm was wrenched with a hammerlock.

Lorcan fought back to his feet, and as he was slung into the ropes, held on. Daivari missed a dropkick, landing on his back. Another Half-and-Half was missed, and Daivari locked in the Million Dollar Dream using Lorcan's injured left arm.

Daivari lost leverage, as Lorcan worked his arm away from his rival's grasp. Sending him into the turnbuckle, Lorcan finally broke away. A double knee armbreaker stopped his momentum completely. A double arm drag off the top rope from Daivari set up for the Persian Lion Splash.

Lorcan rolled away, leaving Daivari to crash into the mat. A pair of running elbow strikes followed up by a running blockbuster nearly sealed the deal for the brawler, but Daivari managed to break out. Back to their feet, Daivari took three chops before fighting back against Lorcan.

Daivari was rocked with two uppercuts and a running uppercut. Coming off the ropes for another running uppercut, Daivari countered with a superkick. As he attempted to go for the Hammerlock Lariat, Lorcan countered into the Half-and-Half suplex. Daivari rolled to the outside to avoid the pin.

Lorcan followed him outside with a dive over the top ropes. Before he could be brought back inside, Daivari connected with a steel chair, ending the match in a disqualification.

Results: Oney Lorcan defeated Ariya Daivari via DQ.

Following the match, Daivari brutalized Lorcan and tossed him into the stairs knee first. Daivari brought a barely conscious Lorcan to the top of the ramp where he drove him head first into the stage.

Finally, a Hammerlock Lariat left Lorcan out cold as Daivari stood tall, despite losing the match.

Following the match, we heard from the Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese, and his two challengers Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak. Nese said this was a serious challenge, and the odds are stacked against him. Still, the odds have always been stacked against him, and he's ready to face them all come Sunday.

Akira Tozawa said that Nese is tough, and Gulak is dangerous. Still, Tozawa is tenacious, and he plans on becoming a two-time champion at Stomping Grounds.

Gulak said for too long he was concerned with making 205 Live better. He realizes now that there's no hope for a better 205, but there is a chance for a better Drew Gulak, and that Gulak will have to care less about rules and more about punishing his opponents.
