Lio Rush faced his No.1 contender this past Wednesday on NXT, Angel Garza. The NXT Breakout Superstars had picked up some incredible wins since his debut back in the summer and even managed to knock off Tony Nese for his NXT Cruiserweight Title opportunity.

However, Garza made things personal, both during and after the match. Tearing off his tights in front of Rush's wife early on in the contest was enough to send the Champion of the Hour into a fit. After the bout? Garza blew a despicable kiss her way.

Tonight, Garza returned to 205 Live to prove why he deserved another shot, and continue to dig into the head of the champion.

Angel Garza vs Jack Gallagher

The Man with the Million Dollar Smile made a surprise appearance on 205 Live

Garza taunted the Gentleman early on, taking the British Brawler lightly. Both competitors worked each other's legs early on, trying to out-wrestle one another. Garza was able to keep up with a natural technician like Gallagher, impressively enough.

Gallagher looked for a tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but was caught by Garza who turned it into a sit-out facebuster. A rebound reverse suplex drove Gallagher face first into the mat again. After tearing away the "pantaloons" as Aiden English called them, he rocked Gallagher with a superkick.

Following a pop-up kick to the chest, Gallagher kicked out at two. The Gentleman began to build steam here, battering Garza with a few jabs and bringing him to the mat with a double underhook suplex for a near fall.

The Gentleman's headbutt left Garza in the corner. Garza avoided the Gentleman's Dropkick, however, and rolled up Gallagher as he fell out of the corner. With a handful of tights, Garza picked up the win.

Results: Angel Garza defeated Jack Gallagher via pinfall.

Following the match, Gallagher heard Aiden English talking about his loss and took it personally, telling the Shakespeare of Song to keep his name out of his mouth.

Paranoia quickly set in on the 24/7 Champion after a successful title defense
Paranoia quickly set in on the 24/7 Champion after a successful title defense

Up next was a surprise 24/7 Title defense. The Singh Brothers revealed that come tomorrow, Samir would become the longest-reigning 24/7 Champion in the title's illustrious history. To celebrate, they began singing a song from one of their Bollywood films. The crowd didn't care much for it to say the least.

Samir and Sunil revealed prior to the bout that it would be a two-on-one match against Philly's finest, Tim Gange.

24/7 Championship Match: Samir Singh (c) & Sunil Singh vs Tim Gange

The Singh Brothers toyed with Gange but were surprised by the local hero, taking out both men with some impressive dropkicks. For a moment, it looked like he'd pull out an upset. However, the numbers game was just too much to handle.

A superkick/Russian leg sweep probably would've been enough, but they decided to put a nail in the coffin with the Bollywood Blast.

Results: The Singh Brothers defeated Tim Gange via pinfall.

The Singh Brothers scampered off before anyone could make their way ringside, doing their best to keep hold of the 24/7 Championship.

The Champ of the Hour put on yet another great match

Lio Rush & Raul Mendoza vs Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari

A sneak attack from the Premier Athlete saw he and Daivari take out Mendoza and the Cruiserweight Champion. Lio Rush leveled Nese with a kick while Mendoza dropped Daivari with a dropkick.

Mendoza and Daivari were the legal men, and Mendoza worked over the Persian Lion's arm. Daivari was kept in his opponent's corner, where Rush & Mendoza tagged in and out to tear his left arm out of his socket.

Rush earned a two-count with a running frog splash. A roll-up leading to the ropes allowed Nese to tag in and Daivari to level the Champ of the Hour with a clothesline on the outside. The villains moved in and out, keeping each other fresh while completely cutting Rush off from his tag team partner.

After minutes of punishment, Rush managed to make his way to Mendoza, who lit up Nese with an enziguri and a lifted spinning neckbreaker. Following a springboard moonsault, he went for the pin. Daivari broke it up just in time.

Mendoza wasn't on top for long, though, as a two-on-one assault left him crumbled by the barricade. Daivari and Nese brought Mendoza up for a stalling double suplex. Nese attacked Rush before Mendoza could make a tag, and with Daivari, continued to torture Mendoza.

Eventually, Mendoza escaped to his corner, finally tagging in Rush. Rush knocked Nese off the apron with a handspring kick and rocked Daivari with a spinning roundhouse to the jaw. Moving up for the Final Hour, Daivari cut Rush off and took him down with a second rope superplex.

Nese and Daivari almost ended Rush's night with a superkick/sit-out powerslam combo. Daivari broke up the pin, allowing Mendoza and Rush to send Daivari to the outside. Nese was unable to fight of both men. Rush stunned Nese with the Come Up, and Mendoza planted him with a spin-out belly-to-belly suplex.

Mendoza was dropped mid flight with a rolling palm strike. The 450 Splash missed, and he was left in the middle of the ring for Rush, who tagged in and connected with the Final Hour.

Results: Lio Rush & Raul Mendoza defeated Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari

Mendoza and Rush proved to be a pretty exciting tag team, and their speed was simply too much for Nese and Daivari to overcome.
