Otis could be a very good transitional champion for WWE

As hard as this might be to believe, Otis could very well end up working as a transitional champion for WWE. Although that might sound absurd, especially since his character origins were that of a mid-card comedy gimmick, he is still someone that fans are completely behind and want to see succeed.

He might not be "The Guy", but he could definitely pass as the guy until WWE finds someone else. Making Otis champion also gives WWE a chance to explore that underdog type storytelling that they are so good at and maybe even pull off something very unique in the process.

In the end, there is certainly enough here to distract the WWE Universe until the company works out what they want to do next. It would also be the perfect chance to feature another love storyline with Mandy Rose, give fans something new, and maybe even see what Otis can do with the title.
