Not long ago, we found Big E laid out in the backstage area on SmackDown Live, and Kevin Owens was blamed for the attack. Kevin Owens would go on to deny that he had anything to do with the same at all.
There's a big possibility that it was Big E who orchestrated his own attack. And what this means is that Big E will probably return as a heel and effectively break up The New Day, and go after the WWE Championship.

If this happens, it will be very interesting to see who (who? who?) Xavier Woods eventually sides with. Will Kofi Kingston have to contend with two of his former teammates turning against him because they feel left out in this whole feel-good Kofi Kingston saga?
This would actually help all three of the men involved and could totally be a great feud!
