Teddy Long would stay as General Manager totalling over six years despite the attacks

Long has had two tenures as the General Manager of SmackDown as well as one tenure as General Manager of the revived ECW. He has also had his share of attacks as the longest term General Manager of SmackDown. Back in 2008, he refused to draft Shawn Michaels to SmackDown which resulted in Michaels giving Long the Sweet Chin Music. Later in 2011, Long was found unconscious in his office as a result of Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler attacking him. Long has participated in matches over time and has had experience in the ring before becoming General Manager. He has found himself in feuds with Guerrero and Laurinaitis as well.
