What's the story?

WWE legend and former World Heavyweight Champion Christian recently spoke to TV Insider. Among the many topics that they covered, Christian spoke about All Elite Wrestling, what they should focus on and why his former WWE partner, Chris Jericho, signed with them.

In case you didn't know...

It has been just a few weeks since All Elite Wrestling was announced to be, and it still has the wrestling world buzzing.

Thus far, the company has been announced as being run by Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan, who has a net worth of several Billion and has Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks serving as Vice Presidents. They have also announced their debut show, Double or Nothing, which will be taking place from Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 25.

Professional wrestlers from all wrestling organisations and the independent scene seem to be interested in joining the company, and they have already nabbed Chris Jericho, Pac (Neville), Joey Janela, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, and more. Most are also assuming that AEW is where Kenny Omega will hang his hat.

The heart of the matter

WWE legend and former World Heavyweight Champion Christian recently spoke to TV Insider about a number of topics, including All Elite Wrestling.

Christian talked about what he thinks AEW need to focus on, particularly referring to his time with TNA Impact Wrestling and what they focused on, but shouldn't have, and why Chris Jericho signed with them. Christian said (quote via Wrestling Inc.):

I think that they need to focus on themselves. I think the knock TNA had is they seemed to worry too much about what WWE was doing instead of focusing on their own. That would be the way to go, in my opinion.
As far as new signing Chris Jericho goes, he is obviously one of the biggest names in the history of the industry. So that is a major feather in their cap right off the bat that they are legit and going to try to make it work. Otherwise, Chris is a professional. He wouldn't have attached himself to it if he didn't think AEW had a bright future. ''

What's next?

All Elite Wrestling will host their debut show, Double or Nothing, in Las Vega, Nevada on May 25. Between now and then, you can expect several more names to have signed with the company, some possibly from WWE, ROH and NJPW.

WWE legend Christian will continue to film projects for the WWE Network.
