What's the story?

Since departing WWE shortly after WrestleMania 35, Jon Moxley formerly known as Dean Ambrose, has been very outspoken about his time in pro wrestling juggernaut.

In numerous interviews since he left the company, Moxley has criticized the creative process in WWE, and has spoken at length about how "restricted" it can be wrestling on the main roster.

In a recent interview with The Store Horsemen, Moxley seemed entirely pessimistic about the idea of ever returning to WWE, claiming he cannot imagine a scenario in which he would return to the company.

In case you didn't know...

One of the main critiques Jon Moxley has of WWE is Vince McMahon himself, directly blaming the CEO for many of the creative issues with which the company is currently dealing.

Since leaving WWE, Moxley has been open about the pro wrestling spirit he feels he has reclaimed during his time in All Elite Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and on the independent circuit. Moxley has had a handful of matches since leaving WWE in which he feels he has allowed his true wrestling spiriting to emerge.

With matches under his belt against opponents such as NJPW's Juice Robinson, Moxley admits he has regained the ability to be a pro wrestler, something he feels was very much restricted when putting together matches and creative pitches in WWE.

The heart of the matter

In a recent interview with The Store Horsemen, Moxley was asked if he would ever consider a return to WWE, and while the former Shield member offered the typical "never say never" response, he did note he cannot envision a current scenario which would bring him back to WWE. [H/T Comicbook.com]

"I mean, you have to say, 'never say never.' And that's the answer everybody gives, you know? 'Never say never,' but it's like I cannot imagine the scenario right now."

"But also like 15 years from now, 10 years from now, the whole thing could be different. Who knows? The WWE that I left, I could never go back to. I would rather work at a grocery store."

What's next?

Moxley has his sights firmly set on AEW All Out event, at which the former Dean Ambrose is set to face Kenny Omega in what many fans will certainly agree is a dream match featuring two of pro wrestling's hottest stars.
