What happened after Night of Champions went off Air

Sting’s injury could end his career in WWE.

- We saw masked Kane return at Night of Champions and attacked both Rollins and Sheamus.

After NoC went off-air, Sheamus headed back to the locker room with his Money in the Bank briefcase while WWE Fans were yelling at him to cash-in. After that, Rollins slowly got up and cut an “I’m the best of all time” promo and officially ended the show. Seth Rollins’s title reign would see him battle it put against another legend and it is pretty solid when it comes to the build up and storyline necessary. It gives Kane the due spotlight for his efforts of being faithful to The Authority and the lacklustre joke he was made to be.

This could also effortlessly transition into a feud with Triple H down the lane for Rollins.

- At NoC, Sting suffered a back injury but reports say that it was actually an injury his neck and it could end his in-ring career as a wrestler. According to reports,

“The match would have gone a few minutes longer, but the call was made to end it early and have Rollins pin Sting with a small package,”

An official statement was issued by Sting’s manager on his Facebook page. Below is the statement:

“As many of you may already know, Sting is undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained in last night’s match with Seth Rollins. Doctors will continue to evaluate his condition, but he is a man of remarkable health and resiliency, especially at his age and with all he’s endured throughout his stellar career. Therefore, we are optimistic he will have a speedy recovery and return to full health soon. Sting has kept his body in excellent shape, due largely to the guidance he’s received from his personal trainer Jeff Cavaliere (ATHLEAN-X), and we trust this will prove beneficial to the recovery process. As a side note, we later learned the greatest damage to his body took place before the match was over, but being the true professional he is and among the hardest workers to ever step foot in the ring, he insisted to see the match through to the end.” -Steve Martinez

Trainers and referee helped Sting backstage. Sting is undoubtedly one of the greatest wrestlers in the wrestling industry but he is 56 now and his age was clearly visible against 29 years old Seth Rollins. Hope he recovers fast and returns to the ring which at this moment does not seem like the best idea. Any possibility of a dream match with Taker has taken a huge blow after the injury he sustained. The WWE are also to be blamed for letting Sting take some nasty looking bumps which for a guy of his age is not at all good in the long run.
