WWE Champion CM Punk says injury is real

WWE Champion CM Punk spoke about the realness of his knee injury when he and his pal Paul Heyman addressed onstage at the Prudential Center. “The injury is hundred percent real,” insisted the Second City Saint who was bemused at the idea that he would fake an injury to avoid conceding the title to Ryback. But CM Punk wasn’t ready to give anything to Ryback as he insisted continuously that the injury was due to the workload that came along with defending his WWE title for 386 days, but despite the setback, he made it clear that he would be there at WWE TLC.

Heyman supported his friend stating that other champions would refuse to defend their title as Punk did. He also had harsh words for The Rock, who he claimed has lost his edge and was on him saying,“some poor schmuck” and also added that this injury was a testament to the fortitude of Punk and his year-long reign as the WWE Champion and The Best in the World.

As for the “vocal minority” who echoed that Punk should be stripped of his title, fouled words were what they received. As he cited a list of his vanquished foes as evidence, he spoke of his rights to keep the title and added that he is eager to meet The Rock at the Royal Rumble. “He will fail,” the champion vowed before taking leave, with his title safe at least for a few more days.
