#4 Jeff Hardy gets hit on the rebound at Clash of Champions
Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, and Sami Zayn collided in the match that kicked off the main show at Clash of Champions, for the Intercontinental Championship. It was a lengthy match that was full of brutal spots which included moments where Hardy once again put his body on the line in order to retain the Championship that he believed was his.
Whenever ladders are brought into the mix, there's always a chance for error and it appears that Hardy was the one who fell foul to this rule. Mid-way through the match he was looking to push the ladder at AJ Styles as he dived over the top rope, but as ever, the ladder couldn't be controlled.
Hardy's ladder knocked Styles out of the air and did what Hardy intended but the momentum meant that the ladder then came back and landed on top of Hardy as well, in perhaps one of the more brutal spots of the match.
In the end, Hardy may have taken one chance to many, since it was Sami Zayn who went on to pick up the win and become the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion at Clash of Champions.
