WWE confirms Randy Orton injury, update on Nikki Bella's TV absence, WWE signs Tatanka

Orton out for a long period with a shoulder injury

- We had reported last week on the speculated injury concern surrounding Randy Orton’s unexplained absence from WWE TV. It was rumoured to be a shoulder injury that was keeping the ‘Apex Predator’ out of action.

WWE has come out and issued a statement, confirming the injury to Orton. Below is what they said:

“Randy has suffered from a dislocated shoulder. He’s had chronic problems with his shoulder, and a recent MRI that was done found he has a Bankart lesion in his shoulder, some stretched ligaments and a partially torn rotator cuff,” WWE’s Dr. Steve Daquino told the WWE website.

“At this point it’s a matter of when he dislocates the shoulder again, and not if. Surgery seems imminent, and recovery time for such a surgery would be four to six months.”

This has to be a big blow for Orton, who hasn’t been able to make a dent on WWE TV storylines, since Wrestlemania.

- Also conspicuous by her absence on last night’s RAW, was former WWE Divas champion Nikki Bella. Talks on her working hurt have been doing the rounds for a long time, but was further fuelled last week when she teased she would be taking some time off but later appeared on WWE RAW.

However, in a tweet sent out by her, she mentioned about how ‘injuries’ are keeping her away from action. Also to note is that her longtime boyfriend John Cena is away from the WWE too, at the moment.

Her return date isn’t yet confirmed.

- One of the most notable gimmicks on WWE TV back in the early 90s’ was Tatanka, a native American wrestler, who went on to have moderate success in his first stint with the company.

He even made a comeback later in the last decade, for a short run. But now, he has gone ahead and confirmed signing a WWE Legends deal, teasing a Wrestlemania 32 appearance.
