Could the Tyler Breeze/Fandango tag team save both their careers?

Fandango as Johnny Curtis from his NXT run

Although the pairing of Tyler Breeze & Fandango currently seems to be a by-product of the tedious Golden Truth angle, could the duo end up overshadowing them and become a solid tag team and have a lengthy run? God knows that both these guys are crying out for some sort of program to get themselves over before it’s too late and maybe this could be it.

While the focus seems to be on the odd couple of Goldust & R-Truth, Breeze & Fandango seem to have more in common in their personas and would therefore make a more logical combination than their current adversaries. Both are arrogant heels, obsessed with their looks and playing up on this common trait would help establish both their characters. Their ‘God’s gift to women’ attitudes and natural charisma coupled with their solid in-ring ability could see them form a tag team in the same vein as The Miz & John Morrison’s work from the WWE’s ECW era.

A couple of tweaks to their current presentation, first and foremost changing the awful ‘Breezeango’ team name, would be needed for the audience to buy into them as a legitimate tag team. Fandango in particular needs to transition away from his dated ‘ballroom dancer’ gimmick and go back towards his creepy Johnny Curtis character from his NXT Redemption days.

Whether or not WWE will invest time in this duo remains to be seen, but they both certainly need some kind of direction to go in to advance their careers and fulfill their potential. Otherwise, they could easily be on the ‘future endeavored’ list next time around and that would seem like a waste, especially in the case of Tyler Breeze.
