WWE currently testing VR Content

According to VRFocus.com, WWE is currently testing out virtual reality content. This news was announced at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) this past weekend in Las Vegas during a panel titled ‘Masters of Trailblazing Content’.

WWE’s Chief Strategy financial officer George Barrios confirmed that the company is currently testing the VRC (Virtual Reality content) at the Performance Center in Orlando. He mentioned that the cameras and post-production needed for this program are very expensive, but the results will blow our minds away,

“It’s very, very early days… it’s very expensive; the amount of cameras and post-production needed. We’re early days on what the content might be. We saw the live content – Cirque du Soleil – and we were blown away.”

The Cirque du Soleil VR experience is an app that can currently be found on Gear VR.
