How does the Intercontinental Champion, who is supposed to be one of the featured performers in WWE, get drafted so low on Night 2 of the Draft? Sami Zayn was the 17th overall pick on Night 2 of WWE Draft 2020 and he was visibly upset, judging from the comment that he posted on social media shortly thereafter. This was one of the poorest decisions from WWE Draft 2020 and paints the title in a bad light. As it is, the title seems like an afterthought unless it's in the hands of someone like The Miz, and honestly, after the exciting ladder match at Clash of Champions, the buzz around the Intercontinental Championship was diminished greatly after night to of WWE Draft 2020.

Hahah I’m not one to toot my own horn as you know, but there aren’t 16 wrestlers better than me on earth, let alone on night 2 of the @WWE draft. -SZ https://t.co/0bN4TOksRQ
WWE has a great opportunity to make a storyline out of this, following the events of WWE Draft 2020, with Sami Zayn acting upset, as he generally is, with a lot of WWE's decisions. Still, all in all, a poor showing.
