Let's be honest, if it wasn't for the merchandise and product sales, The New Day wouldn't have been together for this long. When was the last time we saw a stable last this long in the WWE?
Giving Kofi the title would have easily given the creative a good storyline to end the new Day gimmick. Xavier Woods or Big E could have turned on Kofi during their celebration filled with bootyo's and pancakes – leaving the WWE Universe shocked.
A feud that could have not just been entertaining but with a storyline written all by itself. Everyone accusing the other of stopping their singles growth and then, just The Shield, getting back together one day realising that they were better off together itself.
This is a storyline that the WWE Universe would have loved to see as all three of them are highly entertaining and fun to watch.
