WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 5 Potential Finishes for The Women's Tag Team Championship match

Which team will make history on Sunday night?
Which team will make history on Sunday night?

The women of WWE will make history once again this weekend as they step inside The Elimination Chamber to decide the first ever Women's Tag Team Champions. This match has become the centerpiece for the show tomorrow night and will include almost all of the female talent from SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw.

Women's Tag Team Championships have been a huge part of WWE's plan for the women in recent years and despite wanting to bring the belts in a few months ago, this was decided as the best option for the women, who can now go on to defend the Championships at WrestleMania in less than two months' time.

There are a number of interesting names in this match and the added fact that it's inside Elimination Chamber means that there is definite potential for some interesting finishes on Sunday night.

#5. The Riott Squad become the first ever Women's Tag Team Champions

The Riott Squad will definitely have their hands full on Sunday night as Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan look to lift the Women's Tag Team Championships for the first time, whilst Riott Squad leader, Ruby will be stepping up to Ronda Rousey in the hopes that she can capture the Raw Women's Championship.

This means that they won't have any advantages inside the Chamber and after the display from both women at The Royal Rumble they will be wanting to get some momentum on their side heading into WrestleMania.

The Riott Squad have been a fantastic team on the main roster over the past year, but since all three women have been used as jobbers for Ronda Rousey in recent weeks, it makes sense for these two to be used as talent enhancement in the match, but don't underestimate WWE's ability to shock their fanbase.

#4. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville or Naomi and Carmella?

Let's be honest, the only reason that these two teams are in this match is to further their issues without them having to have another one-on-one match at a pay-per-view. Naomi and Mandy Rose have had an interesting feud that can only be described as a throwback to the likes of Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie back in the day.

Rose and Deville were once part of a team alongside Paige and looked as though they could dominate over on Raw, but they have since shown that they have a number of cracks in their foundations and perhaps wouldn't be the best pick for Champions, whilst Naomi and Carmella are another thrown-together team just for this match.

It's highly unlikely that any of these two teams will win, but inclusion in the match means that it's possible.

#3. Bayley and Sasha Banks finally lift the Women's Tag Team Championships

Bayley and Sasha Banks are the reason that this match is even happening, the two women have been pushed out of the main title picture so that they can pursue the Women's Tag Team Championships and after pushing for them to be unveiled, they finally have their wish.

Banks hasn't been 100% over the past few weeks after suffering an injury at The Royal Rumble, but WWE has allowed her to remain in the match and she was recently cleared for competition.

It is predictable that The Boss "N" Hug Connection will come out on top, but with the likes of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka in the match and seemingly dominating the competition at present, it's hard to see Bayley and Sasha as the favorites anymore.

#2. Tamina Snuka and Nia Jax win the Championships

Can Tamina Snuka trust Nia Jax?
Can Tamina Snuka trust Nia Jax?

Tamina Snuka and Nia Jax have become quite the tag team on Monday Night Raw, the two women have the Samoan Dynasty behind them as well as the memorable fact that Jax injures people by accident so it's unknown what she could do if she actually meant to injure someone.

Jax has been pushed over the past few months following the Survivor Series issues and it wouldn't be the biggest stretch to imagine that Jax and Tamina will lift the Tag Team Championships on Sunday night.

The two women will be in the pods waiting for their inclusion in the match, and since both have only really been dominated by Ronda Rousey, it's hard to see any of the women in this match being able to defeat Nia Jax unless Tamina Snuka is the one who is pinned.

#1. The IIconics take the titles back to SmackDown Live

Will The IIconics become Women's Tag Team Champions?
Will The IIconics become Women's Tag Team Champions?

The IIconics were one of the best women's tag teams in WWE during their time on NXT, but they haven't got a decent roll of the dice since they were promoted to the main roster and the hope is that this is WWE's way of correcting their creative issues.

Peyton Royce is a fantastic wrestler and she deserves the chance to hold gold, but WWE doesn't seem to have any future plans for The Australian duo. Royce and Billie Kay have been established as a team for years, which means that they are the best option here to pick up the win, take the titles back to SmackDown Live and show that the women's belts are being taken seriously.

The shock factor would be enough to justify this win and if they were able to pick up the win over someone like Nia Jax and Tamina then the WWE Universe would eat it up.
