WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 5 Things Vince McMahon must do

What decisions will WWE make at the Elimination Chamber?
What decisions will WWE make at the Elimination Chamber?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 comes to us tonight from Houston, Texas. The card does seem a little on the lighter side but we do have two massive Elimination Chamber matches to look forward to.

With WrestleMania 35 under two months away, WWE needs to bring the heat tonight and start setting the scenes for the road to WrestleMania. The product has been a little underwhelming in the last couple of months and WWE needs to rectify this as we get closer to WrestleMania.

In this article, I take a look at 5 things I think that WWE and Vince McMahon definitely have to do tonight at Elimination Chamber. Remember, these are just my opinions and feel free to sound off in the comments section below.

#5 Braun Strowman beats Baron Corbin to END the feud

Strowman and Corbin's feud needs to END

Braun Strowman is feuding with Baron Corbin again like he was through late 2019 in the run-up to his shoulder injury. Like most of the WWE Universe, I thought this feud was over after Corbin lost power as the acting General Manager of RAW. This feud had already run its course but WWE seemingly doesn't agree.

Corbin was facing Strowman in a singles match on RAW only for Drew McIntyre to predictably interrupt. Once again, the numbers game got the better of Strowman and both men hit the Monster with a double chokeslam onto the steel chairs.

This feud really isn't helping Strowman and has brought the momentum he had in 2018 to a grinding halt. Tonight at WWE Elimination Chamber, Strowman needs to fight off any interference from Drew McIntyre (you know it's highly likely) and beat Baron Corbin to end this feud for good.

Strowman needs something better at WrestleMania 35 than being in some multi-man match against Corbin and McIntyre.

#4 Ensure more conflict between Shane McMahon and The Miz

At this point, it seems pretty safe to say that WWE's WrestleMania plans for Shane McMahon and The Miz are a little transparent. It's increasingly looking like WWE will go with a singles match between then after a fallout between the two.

If that is indeed the case, Vince McMahon needs to make their breakup a slow burn instead of suddenly having The Miz turn on his friend. They should start teasing conflict between them in bits from tonight itself, regardless of if they retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

#3 Becky Lynch shows up in some capacity

Becky Lynch is not on the card for WWE Elimination Chamber. Nor is Charlotte Flair. This comes 6 days after Vince McMahon replaced Becky Lynch in the WrestleMania 35 RAW Women's Championship match with Charlotte.

Even though Becky Lynch isn't on the card, WWE needs to do something with her to get her on the PPV - even if it is something as simple as Becky Lynch attacking Charlotte backstage or vice versa.

#2 Ronda Rousey shows more heelish tendencies

With WrestleMania 35 less two months away, it looks like WWE are planning a triple threat match at Mania between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch (assuming that Lynch gets added at the last minute).

Charlotte will be the heel in that case and Becky Lynch will be the babyface. As for Ronda Rousey, I think the reaction fans have given her in the last couple of weeks has changed from the overwhelming support she got earlier.

It may now be smarter to play Ronda Rousey off as a tweener sort of character instead of an outright babyface, something on the lines of fans either being with her or against her.

#1 The new WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions are made to look strong

Who will be the new champs?
Who will be the new champs?

The first ever WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions will be crowned at Elimination Chamber later tonight. Despite who wins, the new Champions need to go over strong because WWE needs to cement these titles as important. We can't afford to have a finish like the one to the first ever women's Money In The Bank match where it was Ellsworth who helped Carmella win the match.
