WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Predictions: Buddy Murphy vs Akira Tozawa - Cruiserweight Championship

The Elimination Chamber PPV is just a couple of days away and the match card has been finalized well in advance.

There will be as many as two Elimination Chamber matches as WWE champion Daniel Bryan will defend his title against Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston inside the Chamber. On the other hand, six women's tag teams from both Raw and SmackDown Live will be up against each other inside the intimidating structure to become the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

Apart from these matches, Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley and his hitman Lio Rush will defend the title against Finn Balor in a handicap match while Braun Strowman will take on Baron Corbin in a no DQ match. Ronda Rousey will defend her Raw Women's title against Ruby Riott with her potential opponent for WrestleMania Charlotte Flair sitting at the ringside.

The last title match at the PPV will see WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy taking on challenger Akira Tozawa for the title. Ever since he won the Cruiserweight title by beating Cedric Alexander in his hometown Melbourne, Australia, Murphy has done a remarkable job as a champion and has put on some quality matches against the likes of Alexander, Mustafa Ali, Hideo Itami, Kalisto, etc.

After beating almost all the top guys in the roster, Murphy had requested the WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick to give him only the best opponents from all over the world, such as Humberto Carrillo.

Carrillo got his chance to challenge Buddy for the title as he was pitted against Tozawa, Alexander and Lio Rush in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match on WWE 205 Live to earn the opportunity to challenge Murphy for the championship in which the Japanese wrestler came out victorious to set up a title clash at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

Prediction: This match will be in the kick-off show and in all likelihood, Buddy Murphy will come out victorious and will hold the title at least till WrestleMania.
