WWE fans often call for underused Superstars to receive television time, and that is exactly what has happened in recent weeks on SmackDown with Daniel Bryan’s storyline with Drew Gulak, which has included matches against Curtis Axel and Heath Slater.

From a storyline perspective, this might be the least exciting and most predictable match at Elimination Chamber. However, based on their in-ring ability, there is a very real possibility that, if they are given enough time, this could be Match of the Night on Sunday.

According to Wrestling News Co’s Paul Davis, Bryan has personally requested to work with Gulak and Slater in recent weeks, so WWE should be applauded for seemingly allowing one of their top Superstars to have the freedom to call some of the shots in this storyline.

When it comes to the outcome, there is only one winner – Bryan – but it is worth bearing in mind that Elimination Chamber takes place in Gulak’s hometown of Philadelphia, so expect the former Cruiserweight Champion to put up a good fight.
