WWE Fastlane 2018: Full Predictions

Fa
Fastlane's main event will feature a Six-Pack Challenge

The Elimination Chamber has cleared the haze that surrounded Monday Night Raw and with matches nearly taking full shape, it's time for SmackDown Live to deliver at the last PPV before WrestleMania 34. WWE Fastlane will be waltzing back into our lives straight from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on 11 March, 2018.

With four top matches advertised for the show, it is highly possible that the WWE is expecting the blue brand to exceed expectations. We could be seeing more matches included this week but without further ado, let's dive deep into the current card.

Here are the full predictions for Fastlane 2018.

#1 Charlotte (c) vs Ruby Riott for the SmackDown Women's Championship

CV
Charlotte Vs Ruby Riott

The Queen has been a dominant force in the Women's division and continues to put on stellar performances on a weekly basis. She faces a tough challenger in Ruby Riott and there's no doubt that the bout will be solid.

Despite the in-ring quality of the match, the feud still fails to excite the fans since there are big plans for Charlotte at WrestleMania 34 against Asuka. The match will end with a predictable finish with the focus being upon making Charlotte look strong.

Asuka vs Charlotte is the current plan for WWE at WrestleMania 34 which renders a match with Ruby completely useless and predictable. If you still believe that Ruby Riott has a chance, you're surely being manipulated.

Prediction: Charlotte retains

#2 The Usos(c) vs The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

the
The Usos Vs The New Day

It's quite difficult to channelize what the company is planning for WrestleMania 34 as far as the tag team division is concerned. However, the Usos vs the New Day is an ideal option for Fastlane considering how monumental their rivalry has been for the blue brand.

The WWE is definitely looking to produce something spectacular before they head to New Orleans and this match could give them what they want. The story, the promos and the in-ring quality between the two sides has been spot on and it won't be surprising if they do it again.

There could be a possibility that the Bludgeon Brothers might get involved and disrupt the match particularly due to their recent altercations with the Usos. It seems likely that there could be a Triple-threat match awaiting us at the Grandest Stage of them All and therefore, expect a controversial ending to this match.

Prediction: The Usos win via D.Q.

#3 Bobby Roode(c) vs Randy Orton for the United States Championship

Bobby Roode Vs Randy Orton

Well, this is a match that has failed to impress the audience despite the star power involved. Smack Down Live is failing to exceed expectations and this story line is all the justification you need. While this feud is fresh and worthy of a PPV match, the creative team has not yet established the fight like a marquee match.

Both the Superstars are struggling to find a footing on the roster as the babyface. If WWE wants to continue this feud till WrestleMania they definitely need to turn someone heel. Randy Orton's outta nowhere attacks are becoming repetitive and have lost its freshness which only justifies how boring his character has become.

Well, this 'Who is the next Legend Killer?' the story line is far from over and we could be getting some sort of involvement from the "Modern Day Maharaja". The WWE will try to book Orton in a strong position in this match but there's no way he is winning this.

Prediction: Bobby Roode retains

#4 Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship

En
Six Pack Challenge for the biggest prize on the blue brand

Well, it all comes down to who is going to face Shinsuke Nakamura at the Grandest Stage of them All. The main event will see six superstars fighting for the most coveted prize in sports entertainment and with WrestleMania 34 just around the horizon, the pressure is on these superstars to deliver something iconic.

This match has all the ingredients to stand out as the show-stopper and, it definitely will. The company will be genuinely focusing on multiple stories going into this match and will pull out all the stops, to entertain the audience in attendance.

Personally, this match will be an energetic battle of six talented guys and despite the predictable outcome, the bout will definitely get the fans invested on what awaits us at New Orleans.

There is a rare possibility that the Phenom might be showing up but if he does, then the fans are in for something special. Expect Dolph or Corbin to be pinned in this fantastic blockbuster with the Phenomenal One retaining the title.

Prediction: A.J. Styles retains
